Hands down the best Indian food in the salt lake valley. Saag paneer is my favorite, butter chicken is what the kids are obsessed with, the husband gets their korma EXTRA SPICEY and he loooooves it. The tandoor roti bread is also superior or other roti breads I've had. Just all around a great place! Thanks for existing!

The name of this place is actually "Namaste Kathmandu" now. My group was craving Indian cuisine. We are big fans of Bombay House in SLC, but did not want to make the drive downtown. We decided to settle for this place. The vibe inside was similar to most Indian restaurants I have visited: dark, minimal lighting, great to take your significant other to when you have a skin breakout. The booths were surprisingly long in bench length. It was a 6 or 8 seater per table, depending on how wide you are. The table was also higher than normal tables, as mentioned by my shorter counterparts, dangling their legs like a child. I ordered the chicken tikka masala curry, which was not very good tasting. It had a creamy, sour tomato-y flavor, not so similar to the tikka masala I had at Bombay (which I consider the OG flavor). I have to say I was more than slightly disappointed and it did not satisfy my Indian food cravings. We also ordered naan, which comes sliced down the middle so there's basically 2 pieces. It was doughy and decent. The service was a bit on the slow side.

Namaste Kathmandu was really good! I got the Chicken Tikka and absolutely loved it. Their naan bread is worth getting. This is a fun spot worth checking out. Please note you don't have to get the buffet and you can order from their big menu. For me it felt like they put way too many vegetables in each dish and didn't balance it with the meat.

Excellent food and service. Huge menu and selection. A nice neighborhood gem. Added to our monthly rotation.

We ordered takeout for a large group and they prepared and packed the food in a box. Everything was delicious. Everyone from all tastes (spice loving to less so) thoroughly enjoyed the food. A nice twist on the standard Indian fare and very tasty.

Incredibly bland food, I’m so disappointed. I’ve eaten at the original location for years and was so excited when they opened a new spot near me. First time ordering will be my last - the Chicken Tikka Masala has almost no flavor, and the yellow daal is more like yellow water with the usual ingredients floating in it. Seems like my experience is an outlier based on so many other great reviews, but unfortunately it’s the experience I had.

I'm not one for hyperbole, but I was completely blown away by the food here. I wasn't too familiar with Nepalese food before coming here. I mostly wanted to try some of the Indian dishes, but my wife and I decided to branch out and try some of the more traditional Nepali dishes. It was SO good. We are originally from the NYC area, so we are used to really good ethnic food and this place felt like I was back home. I did not feel like I was in Utah, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Most definitely will be back - I want to try the momo!

I was excited to try this place after reading all the positive reviews. It is without a doubt the most bland Indian food I have ever eaten. The dishes had heat but were 2/10 on flavor. The chicken was terribly dry. The vegetables were cooked well, but had absolutely no flavor. The service was friendly and kind, but painfully slow. Sad to say that I won’t come back.

Wow!! I’ve found my favorite restaurant! Their food is very tasty, we ordered 3 different dishes and 2 appetizers. The portions are great, more than we could eat, and we could tell they were made with fresh ingredients.

Amazing food. Authentic? I think so. When you order your food and you think you can handle the heat (spices) don't order more than 4. It is worth it the drive to Sandy.

This place is so delicious and the service is excellent. We got the chicken curry, butter chicken, poori, and garlic naan and all of it was phenomenal. The flavors are all spot on and the spice has such a good flavor and kick. It’s all on a really accurate scale so you can find the right level for you. We definitely plan on returning!!
