We love this place! The seasonal options are some of the best in town and always feature fresh new takes on a small rotating menu. The pizza is Devine and so are the sandwiches. The beer menu is stellar with so many choices on either to satisfy everyone in your group.

My wife and I had a great meal experience. The staff was awesome. Abby and Hazel were great, we had a good time interacting and laughing with them.

Kyle is the absolute best! He can get stuff done!
It’s good. I like it there.
Beer. Yummy. Much talk. Think riddle.
See things. Neck engaged. Eyes squint rike yellow ball too close.
Dang, with the wait and the Tikka Pizza is mindmeltingly good

Pizza was sub par. Didn’t get time to enjoy the ambience because server moved along way too fast. I was just trying to enjoy a date and I just felt rushed. Pizza arrived within minutes of ordering(don’t get me wrong, I was hungry) but it felt like fast food dining.

I visited this location 03/03 from 7pm-9pm. I mention time because I want to call out one food runner in particular. He is white, short, brown mustache and curly hair, and was wearing a black and white plaid flannel tonight. He served our food with the most disgusting attitude. Gave us sass because we didn’t grab the ranch plate correctly??? Food was great though. Makes up for the uncomfortable moment.
First time I've ever queued to get into a pizza joint but it was worth it!

This is hands down the best pizza spot around. The crust has that perfect balance of crisp and chew, the sauce actually tastes like tomatoes instead of sugar, and the toppings are generous without turning the slice into a balancing act. Every pizza comes out hot, fresh, and clearly made with care.
The beer selection is just as impressive. Tons of options on tap plus a solid lineup in bottles, so whether you’re into hoppy IPAs, smooth lagers, or something dark and bold, you’ll find your match. It’s the kind of place where you say, “Just one,” and then happily reconsider.
The vibes seal the deal. Live music that’s loud enough to feel electric but not so loud you can’t talk, a crowd that’s there to have a good time, and a laid-back energy that makes you want to stay awhile. Add in genuinely great service, friendly, attentive, and fast, and you’ve got a pizza joint that feels like a weekly tradition waiting to happen.

Love Slackwater, i really don’t make reviews, but since I visit at least 5 times a month I figure I should post a review of my favorite restaurant.

We recently visited Slackwater in Sandy and had a really good experience overall. The vibe is fun and lively, with a great selection of craft beers and a cool atmosphere that makes it a nice spot to hang out with friends.
The pizza was delicious — fresh ingredients, crispy crust, and unique flavor combinations that really stand out. The appetizers were solid too and came out hot and fresh. Service was friendly, though it was a bit busy and took slightly longer than expected, which is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
Overall, a great place for good food and drinks. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was delicious and presented well! The host staff is so rude and makes you feel like a burden when they text YOU that your table is ready. It is disappointing that this is the customer service you get when you first walk in. Sets for a bad tone the rest if the meal. The rest if the services was slow and nothing remarkable.

I rolled into Slackwater Pizza in Sandy on a reckless carb fueled whim like a man who just discovered passports are valid at pizza joints, even though I’m spiritually and financially loyal to the Herriman location where I dine 6 or 7 nights a month like it’s my part-time job, YOLO.
The vibe hit me like an international food festival hosted inside a snowboard shop, one minute I’m in Italy, next minute I’m in Jamaica, then somehow I’m back in Utah ordering another craft beer like a suburban Anthony Bourdain.
Their pizza came out hotter than my credit card after I tell myself “we’re cooking at home this week,” dripping with toppings that looked like the United Nations of flavor negotiating a peace treaty in my mouth. Yeah, you read that right, get your mind out of the gutter, or don’t, perverts!
I took one bite and started speaking in an accent that doesn’t belong to any known country while nodding at strangers like we were related through marinara with mariachi music playing my jam in the background.
Meanwhile I’m texting the Herriman Slackwater like I’m cheating on it: “Babe it meant nothing, this was just a Sandy situation, my wife will explain on Thursday when we come over...”
The beer list is longer than my family genealogy and twice as confusing, but I picked something that tasted like a German pirate wrestled a mango and I respected it. Yeah Germany lost, not just the wrestling match, but also the 2026 Milan gold cup Olympics Hockey, in both men’s & woman’s, but who’s keeping score?
Oh yeah, we are, go USA!!!🇺🇸
7/7 nights would accidentally end up here again, but let’s be honest…real talk…I’ll be back at the Herriman Slackwater location, possibly tomorrow, most likely thirty Thursday too, like the carb devoted local I truly am. Mahalo
