Sonic Drive-In is a masterclass in disappointment disguised as retro charm. From the moment you pull into one of their run-down stalls, you’re greeted not by friendly carhops, but by a barely functional intercom system that crackles like a haunted walkie-talkie. Ordering feels like shouting into the void, only for your meal to show up 20 minutes later—cold, soggy, and somehow already leaking through the bag. It’s fast food in name only; in practice, it’s a slow, greasy descent into regret.
The food itself is a stomach-turning parody of what American drive-ins used to be. The burgers are paper-thin, flavorless discs drowned in mystery sauce, the fries are limp and tasteless, and the signature slushes taste like melted popsicles mixed with battery acid. Every bite feels like a dare. Even the novelty menu items — like deep-fried Oreos or hot dogs in bizarre configurations — have the culinary elegance of a gas station experiment gone horribly wrong. You don’t just leave Sonic hungry, you leave feeling personally betrayed.
Worst of all is the atmosphere, if you can even call it that. Most Sonic locations seem stuck in a time warp where cleanliness, customer service, and food safety are quaint relics of the past. You’ll find overflowing trash cans, sticky concrete underfoot, and speakers that blast tinny pop music as you question your life choices. Dining at Sonic isn’t a meal — it’s an ordeal. If you’re craving fast food, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. Even a vending machine would be a step up.

Worst service ever. I go often and have not once received my correct order. When you ask them to fix it, they just hand out another wrong order. How hard is it to make a slushy?They need some new employees that can actually understand customer service and English.

Won't be coming back to this location. The people there were very nice, but there was a language barrier that ended in us getting the wrong thing. We had to wait 5 minutes or so, but they did replace the item.

The quality of the food for kids is absolutely unacceptable. They will take a lot of pride in their bigger meals which cost a lot more, the hamburgers look juicy and put together, the kids hamburgers taste like they have been in a heater all day (hockey puck) the bread was hard like it had been sitting on a shelf for months. I would rather me as an adult have less quality of food for my kid to have better quality of food.
I could not believe this. Will not be eating her again.

Ordered food for my family at the drive-through and upon getting home, we noticed we were missing a significant part of our order, and one of the burgers was made wrong. I drove back because we had hungry kids without the food I paid for. They gave us the missing and incorrect items after a few minutes, but when I asked if there was anything they could do to make up for the lost time, she looked at me like that was crazy and said no.

I had a frustrating experience at Sonic today. Keyla, who was taking our order, really struggled to understand us. We ordered a simple pretzel with cheese dip, but she couldn’t grasp what we meant. After a lot of back and forth, I finally had to say “queso” for her to understand. It was a bit of a hassle, and it was disappointing that basic communication was so difficult. I hope Sonic works on improving staff training for better customer service in the future.
Not the best for food but the carbonated beverages aren't bad and neither is the ice-cream.
Half price shakes after 5:00. Come on

I've been parked in stall #3 for 25 minutes, waiting on a simple order I placed 30 minutes ago, watching car after car get their food ahead of me. After finally getting someone's attention, they had no idea I even had an order, yet immediately brought out a bag of food that was so cold it likely should have never been served to me.
I've been a patron for a long time, but this was it for me. App deleted. So done.

Took almost 15 minutes after my pick up time, then charged me for marinara sauce for my mozzarella sticks and didn't even give me the sauce 🥺 giving 2 stars only because the food was fire. I forgive them being late cuz they cooked it fresh, but I can't forgive the marinara sauce.
