Great staff, incredibly friendly. We tried multiple flavors of broth, pot stickers, herbal tea, and the general tso chicken. All tasted great! Definitely worth the travel from Ogden to Sandy!

We recently visited this cozy Chinese mala tang spot and was absolutely delighted. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and every bite was bursting with flavor—the perfect balance of spice, savoriness, and comfort. You can really taste the care that goes into each bowl. What made the experience even more special was the owner herself. She greeted us with genuine warmth and made us feel right at home. Her kindness and friendly energy added a personal touch that’s rare to find these days. If you're craving authentic mala tang with heart, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Great instant hotpot place! Here's how it works:
1. Grab a big clear bowl (they're very big, and definitely DON'T fill it all the way or you'll have like 3 meals)
2. Put what you want inside the bowl. They've got lots of veggies, meats, and noodles.
3. It gets weighted and you pay for what you picked
4. Pick your broth option
Then you wait a short time, they cook it in their kitchen, and they bring it out to you in a big bowl :)
The best part is you can take home whatever you weren't able to finish! All for $11.99/lb.
I ordered 2 lbs, and I can usually eat a lot of food, and I only got half way through it before I was stuffed to the point of my stomach hurting.
10/10 awesome experience, great food, minimal food waste, and the broth tastes great. This will be my GO TO for when I'm craving hotpot.

It is on the pricy and salty side but this is legit. Better than the one in chiatown tbh
I had Malatang here today, it was delicious, reasonably priced and the service was great.

This is one of the most authentic Chinese spots in SLC. I love the spicy tang here. They have a lot of varieties and the price is reasonable. Lots of space, parking is easy.

So glad we found this Chinese restaurant! The Mala Tang and Mala Xiangguo taste very authentic—I’m from Sichuan, so I can tell. The prices are reasonable, and $15 per person is enough to get full. The owner is very generous. We ordered just one bowl of rice but were given two. They’re closed on Tuesdays, but during our stay in Utah, we’d love to visit again—either this Wednesday or Thursday.

This has become our go to malaxiangguo/malatang place. Broth is flavorful and warming. Malaxiangguo is not too oily. Good selection of ingredients. The staff is very kind and friendly. Feels very homey.

The broth is insanely good. I got the spicy Sichuan broth and it was delicious. There was a variety of options of veggies and such to add into your soup I wouldn’t say the quality is top notch but man that broth is really good and can probably make anything tasty lol. Slightly on the pricier side. Owner was nice and ambiance is casual and nice.

Love their Malaxingguo. To order food - enter the restaurant, grab a bowl, pick ingredients you want, then hand it over to the server at the counter. They will weight the bowl and ask which style (soup or stir fry) and sauce you want.
