Dogs are allowed, but only outside where you don’t offer seating. Nailed it.

Wow I was enjoying this place so much I didn’t take a picture . I love that they take time to prepare beautiful coffee drinks! The avocado toast was so good , tasted like it had a bit of Lemon olive oil which made it delicious along with the bread that tasted homemade !

I’ve given The Bean Yard several chances because the coffee itself is solid—but the customer service has consistently been a major letdown. The baristas are awkward, unprofessional, and frankly rude more often than not. It’s surprising how little effort is made to provide even the most basic level of friendly service.

On my most recent visit, the barista spilled my drink and had to remake it, but instead of handling it professionally, she loudly cursed multiple times in a very busy shop. Everyone around looked uncomfortable. This same individual has been unpleasant on multiple occasions, offering zero customer interaction and consistently giving off an attitude like she doesn't want to be there.

To make matters worse, on a previous visit, she was playing extremely inappropriate music—something you’d expect at a nightclub, not a local coffeehouse with kids present. I’m not overly sensitive about music, but it was jarring and out of place.

It's disappointing to see a good product undermined by staff who don’t reflect the values of a welcoming coffeehouse. I genuinely hope management takes these issues seriously, because The Bean Yard has potential—but right now, it’s being misrepresented.

Wow one of the best coffees I’ve ever had in my life. The barista was super nice. I’m 100% convinced coffee 20 min south of downtown is just much much better than any of the places I’ve tried thus far (roots, kings, cozy, and who knows what else. Prob wasn’t good enough to remember.) everything up there has been weak and watery and I prefer more watery less bitter/acidic coffees. Ordered bean yard’s apricot latte special and it is perfectly balanced. Not too sweet, acidic, bitter, weak, or fruity. So amazed I had to write the review rn. If I can come back I will.

The best coffee roaster in SLC. Try the watermelon Colombian coffee. Out of this world interesting.

Best coffee in town, lovely staff, cozy casual atmosphere. The Colombian watermelon mint pour over is insaaaaane. Best coffee I’ve ever tasted in my life.

Arrived 8:30 AM on a Wednesday, it was closed even when the door says opens at 7AM. Very disappointed!

Yet.

You know they’ve got good coffee when they take the time to offer siphon coffees! The exterior doesn’t look like much but the inside is quite spacious. There are many tables available and it’s definitely a nice coffee shop to work from.

The coffee is the best here of any local coffee house. I go to coffee shops for the coffee, not the other menu items. All of their brewing methods produce extraordinary results. I love the options of siphon and pour over. They are meticulous in attending to the coffee while creating it. I also give them 5 stars for cleanliness. They are exceptional in this regard.

The best, high-end, affordable coffee you can get in Utah! $3.25 for an espresso, and typically below $6 for other drinks. I would highly recommend their flat white.
