This place is in heavy weekly rotation for a reason. It’s perfect for lunch - get any curry dish!

We drive 40 minutes to eat at Yings just about once a month. It’s our favorite Thai restaurant in the whole Salt Lake Valley.
The curries are excellent, especially the massaman. Love the Tom Kha (chicken coconut soup) we get it without spice.
The Pad See Ew is great but the Pad Thai isn’t my favorite.
The sushi rolls are good too. I was a little leery at the Thai and sushi combo but Ying does both very well. She used to be at the restaurant all the time but we don’t see her as much anymore. She’s a lovely woman from Thailand who knows her way around the kitchen.
The mango sticky rice and homemade coconut ice cream are also a must try.

My recent visit to Ying's Thai Sushi left me with mixed feelings. While the food was undeniably tasty, it just wasn't spicy at all – a real letdown given my preference for heat. What made it more frustrating was that I was never asked about my preferred spice level when ordering.
I tried to remedy the situation by asking for Prik Nam Pla, but my server seemed unfamiliar with it but did say said she'd bring some, but unfortunately, it never materialized. So, I ended up enjoying a flavorful meal, but one that left my spice cravings completely unsatisfied.
On a brighter note, the sushi was actually pretty good, and the menu itself was vast, offering a huge variety of options.

Always open, even on Sundays! Good food.
Love this place ! Amazing staff and oh, that Coconut Shrimp though for your appetizer ! Actually, just add that to your order! Oh, let's not forget about that Bbq Chicken, though, or even better, that yellow Curry !!... you will not have any regrets going to having a good meal at this restaurant...

Easily the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to EVER!!
The food is amazing every time and extremely authentic. Their menu is extensive with many options. I have a gluten allergy and they’ve always been accommodating of that.
Highlights on their menu in opinion (as a chef): Panang curry, Steamed Mussels, Spring Rolls, Coconut soup, and their coconut ice cream. My boyfriend isn’t gf and he loves their golden chicken.
Prices are reasonable and you get a healthy portion of food, especially with their lunch special!
I wish I didn’t live so far so I could come here more often!

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the valley. I love the Kaho Soi and the tempura sushi rolls and many other items. I also like the water. So many restaurants have terrible water but not here.

The food was good but twice I have been there and asked for them to make the sushi without an allergen, she agreed to have them hold that ingredient.. both times it came out covered in that ingredient still.
If you have serious allergies than can affect your safety or comfort, don’t eat here; they haven’t taken allergies seriously and the risk is too big.

Food is good, except they completely ignored the “no sesame seeds” instruction printed on the ticket. So much for allergies, I guess.
The hour-long wait for takeout, though, was completely unacceptable. They weren’t even busy and still couldn’t move orders.
I will be going elsewhere for Thai takeout.

I legitimately think this is some of the better Thai places I’ve been to in this area. I’ve been here only a few times but have tried a different dish each time and have been very impressed with their consistency and quality.
If you are craving for Thai or just solid food, I highly recommend this place.
