Place has been a dump for a long time now.Looks like it is closed permanently now which is to bad they use to be good
I highly recommend Hot Rod Diner! I tried it for the first time today was not disappointed. the food is fast but still delicious, very inviting and comfortable family atmosphere with a friendly staff. this is a perfect spot for a family meal or a stylish date night! thank you for the great food!

Hot Rod Diner in Payson, now under new ownership, left some customers missing the old ambiance. The new location is clean but lacks familiar menu items like Navaho tacos and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. The food was excellent, really good, with fair prices. The waitress was friendly, though one visitor noted she spent too much time drumming. The owner was really nice and made his own delicious ranch dressing. Burgers were greasy and undercooked for some, while others enjoyed the mushroom and Swiss burger with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, crisp onions, ketchup, and mayonnaise. The diner is attached to a bowling alley, serving decent food but with some service mishaps. Despite the lack of ice cream or shakes, the friendly staff left a positive impression, though not all visitors were eager to return.
