The service was great. They were very accommodating especially with my food allergies. The environment was beautiful. Nice place. Unfortunately the food was only OK. The short rib was a little tough and chewy, and the chicken breast was significantly overdone and tough / chewy. I'm sure of that because we went down to the valley the next night and had the same things elsewhere. The other restaurant did a much better job (and the dish was $13 (34%) cheaper. I understand the high cost of operating up at a resort, so I'm not attacking the price -- but for the price, the food has to be better. When you charge $38 for a grilled breast of chicken with mash potatoes, you have to get it right. Sorry, but I'm not sorry for saying that.

Only came here for the Valentines day specials.... show up, get seated, handed menus, and TALKED to about the specials for the night. to then 15 minutes later i try to order the steak and salmon that are the specials, that i was just pitched. To then being told that they have been out for both options for awhile now.... Why hand me the separate menus? Why pitch it to me when i sit down. And again the only reason i was coming here in the first place was for the steak.... for sure put a massive setback in what was supposed to be a nice valentines day dinner. let alone severely undercooked the Elk...

There are not a lot of dining choices in Solitude Village, however, St. Bernard's is certainly one worth getting to. The staff (particularly server Axel) and manager (Jake) are professionally friendly. Jake knows his way around wine. Entree's are limited ,however, there is a desire for them to use local which is appreciated.

Great quality food! Solid cocktails. Fun ambiance. Waiter was sub par but give him the benefit of the doubt. Other waiter picked up some slack so team work good to see. I'd recommend!!

The staff and management were friendly and professional. They provide personal service that makes you feel like you are eating at your home but with a better menu! The food was amazing and the drinks creative. Can't wait to eat there again!

A single diner at St Bernard's on New Year's Eve is seated at the bar where they can watch themselves dine in the mirror behind the ornate liquor bottles. The bar is never my first choice options are limited in a small alpine ski village. The bartender, Sarah, and gave me a warm welcome and after listening to my qualms about dining at the bar, Sarah went out of her way to discuss an open table option with the maître de. She found a table with later reservations that would satisfy my needs. In a busy restaurant on New Year's Eve, Sarah changed my initial reticent attitude into an enjoyable dining experience. I had the Wagyu filet with caramelized vegetable entry, which was excellent. The salad buffet was equally enjoyable with the butternut squash lobster bisque an amazing treat. A desert of figgy pudding complemented the entire experience. St Bernard's as its name implies has a Swiss Alp atmosphere with warm lighting, fireplaces and large picture windows with panoramic views of snow covered mountains and ski slopes. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive to your needs, and sincerely want you to have a wonderful experience.

Our server, Sarah deserves a gold star! She was wonderful as were all of the staff. Wagyu beef, salmon, butternut squash soup were among the highlights. The roaring fire added the perfect touch to a lovely Christmas Eve dinner

We made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner based upon previous years recommendations. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. It seems the restaurant was not ready to host a Thanksgiving dinner. They were understaffed. They ran out of food options for dessert. The dessert served was poor quality. The time span between the serving of the salad and the main entrees was approximately 40 minutes with little attention from the waiter. With tip, we paid $156 for two. Very disappointing.

The staff hustled around on their first offering of a Thanksgiving feast. The parking situation was not good, no valet offered to off set the inconvenience. The food options were nice, however the turkey was cold and the salmon undercooked. The appetizers were delicious but not kept tidy and were emptied quickly. My party was small, it seemed we were overlooked often to cater to larger parties. The whole experience took almost 3 hours, which was not necessary for a 3 course dinner with a 2 person table. The resort ticketed my car, in a paid lot. I will have to go online to argue about a ticket I didn't deserve since I did pay for my parking. (150.00 if not addressed asap) I hope they find their groove, tighten up the timing of serve out and figure out how to take care of the day travelers who require parking.

The pork schnitzel special was amazing! We particularly liked the braised red cabbage. We also had the beef stew which was delicious. We topped off dinner with some fabulous cocktails. We were impressed that the chef came out to talk to us about our thoughts on dinner. We highly recommend St. Bernard's.

Very disappointing. We felt rushed and it was Valentine's day. Our server was rushed and not very attentive. He bumped into my chair twice carrying food trays. I just felt I was going to get food dropped on my white dressy sweater. We had to ask for drink refills, as they say empty for a while. Our meal was like salad and soup. It was supposed to been beef stew but it came out like the bottom of the pot broth, the Cesar salad was huge, it was big enough for two or three people, we should have been told how big it was so we could have shared it. The fireplace ambience was nice. But the room is large and open so it does get a little loud when tables are full. It's way over priced! $22 for the beef stew broth and salad's I believe were $12. The chocolate torte cake was delicious, but very small for the price we paid. Our dinner plus two cocktails each and tip came to 157. We actually paid $150 but they had added 20% tip when it was put thru as the charge.

We have a great dinner at St. Bernard's. The food was excellent from start to finish, and the service was great. A very cozy place to eat in Solitude Village. And the are the only place in the Village that takes reservations for small groups. Our reservation saved us from having to wait for over an hour at Honeycomb Grill.

Ate there in Christmas Eve with a limited holiday menu that was fixed price $65 per person. First course was buffet style plus stale bread. Entrees were beef tenderloin, Scottish salmon and stuffed squash. Only the salmon was decent. Sides were undercooked Brussels sprouts and Yorkshire pudding that was dry and hard. Desert was chocolate torte and figgy pudding. Both were not very good. Very disappointing. Service was pleasant and ok.

Thanksgiving dinner “experience” with my dad and beautiful wife. It was buffet style in a lot of ways and yet the food was still good. The service was nice and the servers were very kind and responsive. I will try this place again without the “experience” menu in hopes to have an even better dining experience

Went for Thanksgiving dinner. Everything was good but nothing spectacular. The appetizer buffet and dessert table area was very small. Limited choices. Now the price was less than most Thanksgiving dinners so we were fine with that. Weird oddity, we were charged for cranberry sauce when we requested more than the included table spoon cups we were initially given. Significant up-charge for cranberry sauce, at a Thanksgiving dinner approaching $200 for three people. Weird. That Left a bad taste , even worse than the nasty green been casserole did.
