I just got back from Austin and this place is better than most of the bbq places there. Pork rivals some of the best I had in Memphis. Just moved to Utah and glad this place is down the street. Fantastic bbq.

So friendly and will answer any questions you have and then some. We definitely recommend this place if you love barbecue.

I’m a BBQ snob from Georgia. That having been said, I really wanted to like this place. Overall, the food was just fine but wanting to try a little bit of everything to give it a fair shake I ordered 1/4lb of brisket, 1/4lb of pulled pork, a single rib, two sides and a drink which came out to $40 which just felt too steep. None of the flavors stuck out as impressive. Also, heads up the mac & cheese is made with chilies which is nice but if you’re buying it for a child, it will likely be too spicy. Mrs. Kenny J gave anyone who wanted a tour of the smoking area and was extremely lovely. She showed us that they smoke with Oak and maybe that’s what was missing for me. I much prefer the flavor of Hickory.

Not only was the BBQ at our daughter's wedding the most delicious food our guests have ever had, but the owners and staff went completely above and beyond by donating everything for the event.

They committed their time, their staff, and their incredible food to us, asking for nothing in return. I’ve now been to Kenny J’s 3 times now. The quality of the food has consistently gone down and now, on our third visit, the prices have also gone up. It absolutely wasn’t worth it. I don’t understand how I went from a 4 star review, praising you for some of the best bbq I’ve ever had to what I had today. The brisket was tender but not really flavorful. The pulled pork, for me, wasn’t good at all tonight. I’m honestly very disappointed. I really had high hopes. I do hope that something changes because based on what I had tonight, I can’t justify spending that much again. The staff as always however is fantastic!

Kenny J's deserves more than 5 stars. Every time we go is better than the last. Between the smell of the smoker as you walk in, and the flavor of the ribs, nachos, burnt ends and dessert, make you never want to leave. All of the staff are friendly. The portions are huge. The owners are some of the kindest people around. Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Utah! Next time you go out to eat, try them!

This was great BBQ food! It was our first time here so we wanted to try everything. We had brisket, turkey, chicken thigh, coleslaw, baked beans and Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious. You order the meat and pay by the weight so you can get the amount you want. The bbq sauce was a little sweet for my taste but overall we loved it! Everyone there was super friendly and helpful as well for us first-timers. Highly recommend.
