I was skeptical at first because of the previous reviews regarding prices and portions; however, I still gave it a try and I do not regret it one bit. The food is fresh from the poke to the meat and portions were a perfect amount. You can really taste a difference from other local spots. This is definitely worth every dollar you spend!

Not quite there yet. I’m not writing this review because we had a terrible dinner. We did not. I’m writing it because I truly hope they can make some changes and be successful. I’d love to see this place work out. For a food truck or fast service restaurant, no complaints. For a dine in expensive restaurant, I’d expect more. Cocktails are $16-21. No thanks. The side of rice that you have to purchase separately from the $16 chicken was not even a cup. And to the previous person who complained about there being a dog and then the owner who responded that was false: they absolutely have a dog. Not a service dog. Not a customers dog. Not sure why they’d deny that. Lower your prices, expand the menu and you’d be set. Very kinda and welcoming employees.

Food was good, service was great, prices and portions not the best. What it used to be for prices and portions was better in Draper.

Loooooooved ittttt!

I have been coming in for a couple of months now. Maybe once a week or every two. And they have dropped one of the best sashimi dishes I have ever tried. I’m very accustomed to tuna and sashimi from working sushi for 4 years and I have to say. This is the best tuna I’ve eaten in a while!

Side of Aloha is one of my favorite restaurants ever. The atmosphere, food, vibe, and people are exceptional and exceeded my expectations. I recommend this restaurant to anyone open to trying new flavors and dishes. Side of Aloha is not your typical local plate lunch restaurant but one that explores modern fusion cooking styles of pacific rim cuisine.

If you looking for a place with a taste of Hawai’i then this the best place to go! Great quality food made by the hands of real Hawaiians. Being born and raised in
Hawaii this spot is the closest thing that I found to Home. The ‘Ai, ‘Ano, and most importantly the Kanaka that own it make this place one of a kind.

I grew up eating polynesian food and even helped cooking for luaus since I was 12. I loved how the chef here created genius fusions of island fare with favourites from other presentations and styles! Absolutely delicious!!

I was expecting a local feel but instead meet w a gourmet style place. For a date night sure, but not as a dinner or place to go for dinner... not a Hawaiian style place.

Half hour wait for a table is stupid

I ordered to go, and was surprised that everything was priced separately, the chicken was good but it was $16 for JUST the chicken. ONE scoop of rice cost me $2 which should definitely be included with at least the protein. The portions are small and do not really fit the claim of being enough for family style. The food itself was good, the atmosphere was cute and felt more upscale compared to the Draper location, and the staff was friendly, but for me $25 per person doesn’t really feel worth it compared to the old setup.
