Technically, I love their food, but from the one they had in Sandy. This is the 3rd time we tried the South Jordan one. It is far away from home, so I would love to eat what I was used to eat before the pandemic in Sandy.Their brisket is delicious!!!!(maybe that is why I insist on ordering it). I also tried the other meat today and it was too dry. I also tried the ribs and it was also too dry, but the brisket, was delicious as always!I also liked the the veggies. The first time I went to the South Jordan location they were looking at me like - what are you talking about? The funny thing is that one of their pictures has the broccoli. The kid's menu with Mac and Cheese came without the crumbs.The picture you will see is eating at home.

Decent place for BBQ food. Specifically went here since they have a lot of GF options. They seem to be pretty well informed on the allergy restrictions which I appreciate. I’m not sure it’s 100% safe due to cross contamination which I hope they can improve on. Brisket was dry but the pulled pork and fries were amazing. Would love to see a bigger difference in the BBQ sauces. Can’t really tell the difference between the three.

My sweetest friend took me out to dinner at Wallaby's Smokehouse. It's was very very yummy! I had to remember to stop eating & take some home for husband to try out. ?What I ordered -Sweet Chipotle ChickenHoney Habanero PorkMac & CheeseSweet & Wild SaladThe meats we so tender and super flavorful! I enjoyed the Mac but the Sweet & Wild Salad was AMAZING. I mean look at all those pine nuts! I need to get back in again just for the Salad. Super Great Meal!

Having been to Salt Lake, many times for business, I was tired of the same old thing, so I decided to try Wallaby's Smokehouse. I stopped in one afternoon after work and the restaurant was virtually empty, which didn't give me a real good feeling at first. I placed my order for takeout and was pleasantly surprised at how fast the order was filled. Being a skeptic when it comes to barbecue, because I consider myself pretty good at it, I wasn't expecting much. I was, however, in for a great surprise. The barbecue was delicious! It exceeded my expectations. I ordered the baby back ribs and they were tender and delicious. They weren't smothered in BBQ. sauce like many other places. I also ordered the beans as a side, and they were great. I was in Salt Lake for two months for business and made it a point to eat there as often as I could. I would definitely recommend this place!

Frankly, I don't understand the bad reviews of this place. I liked the ambiance, the service and the food. The barbecue sauce on the ribs was absolutely delicious. I had the two-meat meal: ribs and pulled pork. The ribs were tender and the pulled pork had just the right amount of smoke on it. Portion sizes are generous. I thought the place was very good and would highly recommend eating here. One thing I didn't quite get though was the theme. With a name like Wallaby's, you'd think it would have an Australian theme. The décor wasn't all that much Australian and they had old-time, twangy country and western music playing on the speakers. Not exactly what I would call Australian. What's up with that.

I normally come to eat at this location for lunch however, I am very disappointed as I ordered 3 meals and all 3 had very hard impossible to chew chicken that after showing the server she was impressed how hard it was. After speaking with the person upfront because the manager wouldn’t come out to speak to me, they brought back smaller pieces of chicken than the original meal was suppose to bring and just one piece of chicken for each meal, not what i ordered. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back to this location and I am very disappointed with the management at this location as they fell off short in providing a good solution. I would like to see if I can get contacted back for a better outcome.

The food was amazing! Really tender meat and great flavors. Loved everything. The service was great too. The reason for the 4 stars... nothing beats an ice cold beer with your brisket on a hot summers day! I would love to see them carry local brews. They would get even more of my money.

Went in and ordered take out, and the cashier confirmed that it was take out, but they brought our food out on a tray. Not a big deal but we did have to wait longer for them to take it back and box it up.Got home and we had been given the wrong meat. It was still delicious, so it wasn't a big deal but not what we ordered. Considering we were the only customers at the time it's a bit surprising how many times they messed up.The service was pretty quick though and the food was good. We'll definitely go again and try some of the other meat choices.
Really disappointed. They changed their menu. No more lemon chicken which is why we went in. Decided to try the Chipotle chicken and it was too sweet. The smoked chicken was ok but too much sauce. The brisket cost extra which is understandable but it was mostly fat. Things were super salty/ sweet or had no flavor at all. This is honestly the first time I've disliked everything.

Love this restaurant! The Honey Habanaro plate is a must try. This is so different and delicious. It comes with a homemade roll. I got a pomegranate limeade to drink and it was very good as well. The service was fast & friendly. I will definitely return.

Also, when getting takeout, they often forget the roll or cinnamon butter. Be prepared to wait a while if you go even remotely close to dinner. They have 3 different bbq sauces, but all are extremely sweet, no vinegar or heat in them at all.
