The Combination Dashi is out of this world! It’s similar to fajitas at a Mexican restaurant, but with different spices. Enjoy with Naan and it’s complete! I’ve been twice in little over a month. I only wish they were open for lunch, then I’d go more.
Dining area is small, but hasn’t been busy either time I was there. Which is a shame, they should be packed.

Seabass curry and naan is the best thing I have eaten this year. Both chicken curry’s are incredible some of the best flavored food ever!!

Awesome place. We were visiting SLC for the night and our friend brought us here. Cute place, warm and nice! Food was amazing. We had lamb shank, kebobs (chicken and beef) and nan bread. Very reasonable pricing too. Must try

I ordered the lamb shank with rice, and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was so tender that I could eat it with just a plastic spoon. The portion was huge — I couldn’t even finish it. Honestly, it’s been a long time since I’ve had food this good.
A big thank you to Mohammed for the amazing meal and service. I’ll definitely stop by this restaurant every time I pass through Salt Lake City. It’s truly the best restaurant in town — nobody will regret coming here. Highly recommended!

Honestly, one of the best meal I HAVE EVER HAD. The beef dumplings and sizzling lamb dish was SEASONED PERFECTLY, SO TENDER, SO JUICY. The homemade sauces were ALL SO GOOD.
I love the vibes inside, and the service was amazing. Catch me here tomorrow

We love the food! Long time customers, we have been coming here for 9 years. Everyone we bring loves it. Great options for vegetarians. Lovely lamb kabobs. The owners are generous and the service is exceptional. You must experience Afghan cuisine, there are elements of the surrounding nations so if you like Indian, or Himalayan, or Pakistani food, this will have elements that feel familiar. The borani banjan is the best eggplant in the valley. The naan is so soft and warm. The appetizers are the best (get the mantu and the bulani). My favorite dish is the Chicken Mushroom that I upgrade with qabuli rice. The parking is a bit rough and the building looks rundown. Don't let those hinder you from having the best meal.

My hubby served in Afghanistan and always talked about the food. Took him here and he says this is definitely authentic and it’s become one of our favorite restaurants. It’s delicious food!! Serving are big with plates ranging from around $11 to $25. I’d highly recommend trying Afghan Kitchen!!

Loved our meal here. Aush soup is so good!! Every dish we had that night was new to us and they were just all so wonderfully balanced and well executed. Very nice staff, seems like a family biz. Look forward to returning and trying more of the menu. 💯
