We go almost weekly. They have a great mix of dishes, both stuff that reminds us of food we ate growing up in Beijing, as well as more westernized Chinese food. Their sweet and sour chicken is the best I’ve ever had. Make sure you order a vegetable, they do remarkable things with a simple stir fried bok choy. The potstickers are also great.

These is my favorite restaurant from all Chinatown, I usually get the garlic ribs but today they were too oily and no flavor at all that’s why I scored with 4 stars but the rest was awesome like always.Anyway I love how is the restaurant decorated now, and the lady that serve us was kind and nice.

While up at the little chinatown area in Salt Lake, I tried this little hole in the wall restaurant called Great Wall Restaurant. The nice thing with the menu is they have pictures of all the dishes if you are unfamiliar with what you are ordering. I ordered the braised pork belly. The flavor was alright. I've definitely had better. For the price of the dish, I was expecting a bigger portion. Also, $1 per small bowl of rice is a bit unnecessary especially since rice is such a cheap staple in all asian restaurants and they were charging so much for their dishes. I'll have to give it some time before I come back again. We'll see if things improve.#braisedpork #fyp #thisishowichow #saltlakecity #chinatown

Super sweet lady, delicious soup and seafood. Let us bring in food when we were kicked out of another restaurant in the Chinese supermarket so we could eat dinner with our family who wanted to get food from different restaurants.

Very hospitable even though we changed our minds to dine in instead of take out. We were able to bring in outside food and have a pleasant evening with our family from out of town. We ordered the seafood soup, the pot stickers and pork chow mein and everything was amazing. The soup came with plenty of seafood.Parking: They are expanding and adding businesses to the area, but not the parking lot. Parking will be very hard to find over the weekends.

It's one of the few authentic Chinese restaurants around town. Tastes like home.

Food was underwhelming. We thought it would be better since it’s by the Asian store.Chow fun tasted ok; the ribs was sweet but does not match our expectations. Tried the pepper pork intestines dish for the first time and we didn’t know what to expect at first. I guess it turned out not great but not too bad either.

The portion is small, expensive and tastes bad. Two people ate a total of 64 dollars. They were not full. There was no service throughout the whole process. The boss lady took a tip and watched you choose. I don’t know where those good reviews came from. Please stop reading reviews. It’s really not possible to get the subsistence allowance.

My recent visit to the Great Wall was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The mapo tofu I ordered was served cold and lacked any discernible flavor, leaving me wondering if it had been forgotten in the refrigerator for too long. Additionally, the eggplant dish was peculiarly seasoned, paired with a sauce that was downright disgusting, making it nearly inedible.Adding insult to injury, I was surprised to find out that they charged extra for rice, a staple accompaniment in Chinese cuisine. This added expense only added to the already high cost of the meal, making it feel like a blatant attempt to nickel and dime customers. While the waitress was friendly and polite, it was evident that she lacked knowledge about the menu. When asked about certain dishes or ingredients, she seemed unsure and unable to provide helpful recommendations or information. In conclusion, I would never recommend going to this restaurant! It's best to steer clear of it when you're in Chinatown or looking for a satisfying meal. With poor quality food, and a lack of menu knowledge from the staff, it's simply not worth it at all. Please save yourself the disappointment and explore other dining options in the area ! :(
