Very disappointed. The front desk staff were so rude and racist. My friend and I went to this place because of high review scores but we had a terrible experience. I've never experienced such abject racism. And I've never expected that came from people from my home country. Hope they can hire more qualified people and improve the service. The food is good tho!

This was my first experience at Top Pot. It came highly recommended by friends. The initial impression was fun and adventurous with a greeting at the entry by Aqua Man and a giant Panda. We were seated promptly, and the wait staff was very good at explaining the concept and the way things worked. We fired up the grill and everyone ordered the broth of their liking. There is a huge selection of everything anyone could want. Many seafood, meats, dumpling, and fresh vegetable options to cook in your broth or in the grill. It took a little time to adjust the heat of the grill properly. But the staff realized our blunder and promptly replaced our slightly burned grill with a fresh new one. Go hungry, leave happy. And for the amount of food, drinks, and deserts you can consume, the prices seem reasonable. I highly recommend you give It a try!

The food is great! Everything is very fresh and delicious. I'm surprised that I can get it at such a reasonable price.

Great buffet I’ve ever had. Awesome quality for a buffet! We love the hotpot soup, so tasty! Better than most of the hotpot places. BBQ and sushi are also great! So many kinds of veggies to choose from and meat selections too. Service was great! Really nothing to complain! So worth the price! Highly recommended!Kid-friendliness: Cheaper price for kids

Coming from the Bay Area, CA, I've been to my fair share of hot pot, Korean BBQ, and sushi places, but we don't have anything close to Top Pot & KBBQ in terms of selection and price. For $36, you can have ALL three options, all you can eat, including soft drinks (water, soda, tea, etc.). AND they're open until midnight?! We were in heaven! For hot pot, we both had the special rib soup broth, which wasn't that great and came with cucumber and tomatoes inside the broth which I thought was odd and ended taking them out. I like that the hot pot ingredients were self serve, including the meats, which gave me an opportunity to get out of my seat and walk around occasionally (helps with digestion? who knows lol). The ingredients seemed fresh and they even had seafood options such as crab and oysters. The sauce bar was great and had everything that I normally use to make my favorite sauce. For the KBBQ, we ordered the short ribs, angus steak, and spicy pork belly. The short ribs and the pork belly were marinated perfectly and so good! I would skip the angus steak because it was a bit tough. They also had a good variety of appetizers/banchan to accompany the meats next to the sauce bar, also self serve. For sushi, we ordered the sweet heart roll and three types of sashimi - salmon, white fish, and eel. The quality of the sushi wasn't the best so I'd probably skip next time and focus more on the hot pot and KBBQ. There's also desserts! There's small individual ice creams, and this really yummy sago and lychee jelly dessert that I enjoyed. Service was great, they were friendly and easy to flag down when we wanted to place additional orders and replaced our KBBQ grill when needed. We had a very filling and satisfying meal at Top Pot & K BBQ and I definitely recommend this restaurant to others in SLC looking for their AYCE Asian food fix!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Between the self-serve hot pot, nice quality kbbq meats, and creative sushi rolls, this place has it all! We have only been here once, but we plan to return next week with friends in tow. We loved the cooler with all of the bottled drinks we could choose from (also unlimited!!) this has become one of my top 5 restaurants in SLC for sure!

Be prepared for near immediate stomach pains and cramps from the food here. Including multiple urgent trips to the bathroom. All people in our group had same reaction. We only tried the BBQ, and all the meats / seafood were swimming in thick overpowering sweet and salty sauces. The sauces were so heavily sweetened that upon cooking, there were strings of “sugar hair” coming from the food as you pull it from the BBQ.I’ve had many Korean BBQs across NY - not only is this not even remotely authentic, it is a disrespectful representation of Korean BBQ, while also making us all question the food safety practices. Generally heavy sauces like this are used to cover up food lacking freshness, which on the few pieces of chicken I tried, I could smell through the heavy sauce.OH! And the waiter tries desperately to upsell the order quantity without telling customers they will be charged 20% for uneaten food. That’s an interesting conversation for waiter when we clearly expressed our concern of ordering too much food at start of order, AND when we near immediately all felt sick from the food. All this to say, only go here if you’d like a dangerous and painful full intestinal cleanse.

The first time I went was by myself and I honestly enjoyed my time there so much, the second time I went, I brought a friend. I would say if you want to get your money's worth for the KBBQ, Hotpot & Sushi all you can eat, come starving and not really eat anything beforehand. Both times I went, I was starving and got my money's worth, but don't think it would be going if you're already half full.PROS: Meats were delicious and well marinated. Sides/Salad bar was extremely clean and well kept. One of the best KBBQ grills I've ever comes across. Ice cream was delicious. Drinks were canned/bottled. Atmosphere was very welcoming. Staff was very friendly & informative!CONS: Hotpot bowl could've been deeper or bigger since there wasn't much space to add my sides and noodles together. Sushi wasn't really anything special or had much flavor to it. Sometimes the lines were all over the place & people standing in the way. Sometimes there wasn't much proper ventilation with smoke everywhere because of the grills.Overall the food and experience was amazing!

Meat was not very flavorful, but the self serve bar had many options to choose from, which was nice. Sushi was not great. Also, our server was lowkey impatient with us, we only got to put in one order of meat because he rarely came back to our table. I did tip him generously even though his service was lacking. Honestly will not be going back.
