Good coffee with nice latte art. Asked barista for a lesson . He said he has recommended holding classes to management. I would like that. Love the Sand Point , Idaho Dietrich roaster!
I drink coffee from Utah Coffee Roasters everyday. I love the consistency and the flavor.
Very pleasant employees. Efficient. Would visit again. Ordered Chai Latte. Very good experience all around
Many times I've smelled the coffee roasting in this area, and it's fantastic. One of the great smells of the world!
This is a really fun place to stop and get a bite to eat and coffee. The food is super fresh and yummy. I would recommend stopping for breakfast or lunch anytime.
We had a $9 lunch snack which Publik called an entree. The snack to seconds to make because there's was nothing on the plate. We had a 2"x2" bunch of baby lettuce with 3 pickled onions on top & a SMALL piece of toast with 3 small pieces of broccoli, some tasty onions. THAT WAS it. With Tip, this was a $22, 2 second meal that cost about 50 cents to make. Service was ok, but with how easy the ENTREE was to make the waitress only interacted with us for 1 second to take the order, 1 second to deliver the water glasses & craft (to self fill) & 1 second to ask how the meal was, & another second deliver the bill. We then walk to the cashier to pay. So a 15% tip, I usually do 20%, but couldn't justify cuz there wasn't really any service. I barely remember what she looks like cuz she spoke to us about 4 seconds. Anyhow, I'm glad this restaurant is doing well, but when the economy slows, customers of publik will need to have a lot of cash or customers like myself might just head elsewhere where they could probably get a 4 oz piece of salmon and maybe a few more veggies to justify a $9 snack for lunch. Crazy to me!
Great coffee and avocado toast! Unfortunately the coffee was a little warm and not hot enough. Fun to sit outside during the warmer months. Great service!
We couldn't leave Salt lake with out trying the popular coffee spot. As we parked new the old warehouse building and entered into the shop. The smell of coffee over takes your sense and wakes all your taste buds up. The decor is very urban chic and I loved it. We ordered a cup of specialty coffee and one of their famous toast. My husband did the basic Avocado toast and I did a build your own with ricotta cheese, arugula & radish & let me tell you it did not disappoint. Its the perfect portion to get your day started. Highly recommended
The decor at the new Publik cafe by the U is bright and sunny, and the staff was friendly. I had high expectations, because the Publik cafe on Ninth South is one of my favorites for breakfast. Big disappointment, though. The waffle was cold and inedible (tasted like what I imagine styrofoam would taste like) and it was served in a little french-fry basket, making it difficult to cut. The hot chocolate was tepid and not fully dissolved and the fried egg was runny. My friend had yogurt and granola and seemed to like it, but I'll stick with Publik's cafe on Ninth South until Publik's University cafe works out the kinks.
Their coffee smells terrible and tastes burnt and acrid. Never would recommend this coffee to anyone.

This is an amazing location -- made out of an old warehouse in SL. The interior is HUGE! Two floors, upstairs and down, bathrooms on both floors. Very industrial -- steel, cement, etc. Very groovy place. Had the avocado toast -- very tasty. It's a bit challenging to take your coffee upstairs, it's quite a hike.
I checked this place out yesterday and had my first ever slice of avocado toast. I'll definitely be back!
My husband and I loved the avocado toast and the banana toast with the amazing Publik Coffee. Can’t wait to go back.
We popped in to get a coffee for the road and wished we could have stayed longer. They make fabulous coffee in a great space (and my cookie was also great). Excellent vibe. Why does SLC have such amazing coffee and beer!?!
