Overall great experience for my first visit! Food was fresh and delicious. I had a chicken bowl with yellow curry sauce - yum. There were plenty of gluten-friendly options, and it was easy to find them. Would've liked a little more food for the price, but it was fairly reasonable. Short, very acceptable wait between 1-2 pm. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and polite!
Mario, the manager, is THE BEST! He always makes me feel super welcome and I can tell he is always interested in giving the best service! He’s always smiling and willing to help the customers! People like him are the reason I keep coming back to Zao!
The new braised pork with teriyaki is my favorite thing I've tried so far. I enjoy the endless combinations you can come up with. You can have something more savory like a curry or sweet like teriyaki. It is surprisingly good with the toppings, so don't shy away from the pickled stuff and the peanuts (unless you're all of course!).
