Enjoyed lunch here. Gyro was tasty and fries were cooked perfectly well done as requested. Salad with grilled chicken was good, too. Service was friendly and efficient.

Us New Yorkers love a really good steak. My partner and I were looking for a great steakhouse after a major hike and our map directed us to this restaurant…I’m so happy it did! First of all, the location is beautiful. Settled on/very near a golf course, the view you get is amazing. Wide open spaces with several picturesque mountains in the background…awe inspiring. Second of all, the steaks, my goodness the steaks. I got the filet mignon while my partner ordered the New York Strip. He started with the Oyster Rockefeller and I got to try the pork tips as well as the Lobster bisque. When I say the food was delicious, I mean it was top notch, premium, grade A level. The steaks were cooked to perfection and I didn’t need to add any condiments, the flavor was all there. The service and hospitality was phenomenal as well. We got to speak with the owner of the restaurant who made our experience so much better. Thanks Jeff!So if your ever in St. George please stop by Chef Hog, you will not be disappointed!!

I wish I could give Chef Hogs 10 stars! The atmosphere was amazing from the views to the nice piano music playing in the background, But the best is for last. The food is amazing. I had salmon ( the absolute best I have ever eaten ) my daughter had the baseball cut steak, fresh veggie's , asparagus to die for, a dinner salad that is a meal in itself then top all of that off with Bananas Foster for desert. If you have not given this beautiful restaurant a try, I highly recommend that you do !

The best kept secret in St. George! We had a bite after golf yesterday and thought it was time to leave a review. Tucked into the Sunriver Golf Club off the Southern Parkway, Chef Hog's is sure to delight. Boasting dramatic golf course and mountain views, the setting is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My wife and I have been several times and have never been disappointed. The wait staff is top notch. Super friendly. For lunch, the burger, salads or Cuban sandwich can't be beat and we think the clam chowder is the best we've ever had. The dinner menu is extensive and offers something for everyone including of course, oyster lovers! Thursday thru Saturday Dave is on the piano and guitar, offering his take on your favorite hit songs. His fine playing, sense of humor, and pleasing voice add to the convivial, relaxed atmosphere - as does the soft, indirect lighting. Not to be missed! WAIT! I had to edit this review because I forgot to mention the FRENCH FRIES! Totally worth the trip from wherever you are.

Had an incredible dinner experience at Chef Hog’s! We had the muscles, filet, and baseball steak, all were excellent! They had live music and a beautiful overlook of the golf course. Overall phenomenal food and dinner experience!

We had a great evening at Chef Hogs. The lobster bisque soup and clam chowder were both very good. We were very pleased with Oysters Rockefeller. Our steaks hot and cooked the way we ordered them. I would liked to have my baked potato a little hotter. But all in all we will go back. Our service was excellent, very attentive.

So Disappointed, we spent $160 on garbage food, I'm a huge lobster eater, I've eaten it of over 50 years from places around the world this was the worst food we have both eaten ever. I ordered the twin lobster, it was so small it looked like the bottom of the lobster was cut away, a cup of lobster bisque soup, the soup was lumpy and the taste was fishy so bad i left it behind and a salad, my husband ordered ocean cod and chicken wings for appetizer, we both ordered drunks from the bar. Let me start with the over all feel of the restaurant its dirty, even the clear glass the waitress showed me and what size I wanted I said the one on the right it's clean . it was very hot, we had planned on going out for the night have several drinks, we move close by so we could walk if need be. The place was hot we ask for mote napkins just to wip the sweat off fron our brow and the place was dead.

We just ate dinner at your restaurant. To our dismay.... the food has to have been the worst meal we have eaten in a very long time! The Oysters Rockafeller were burnt and barely edible.... my New York Steak was like eating rubber and had such a heavy layer of tenderize that I was not able eat much of it.... chives are not green onion chopped stems.... to add insult to injury.... this disgusting meal cost us $111.00. My next review is with Yelp.... If I thought my bank would accept a complaint I would ask then to file a dispute against your restaurant!! Hmmmmm.... now that is a great idea!

We made a reservation and arrived on time, the hostess was pleasant and seated us at the window surrounded by floor to ceiling glass window. This allowed us to gaze on the grounds the restaurant sits on. The setting was beautiful with the golf course stretching out as far as the eye can see surrounded by lovely red cliffs. There was live music being played which was very pleasant. Our waitress greeted us right away but we were put off by her hefting her leg up onto the chair next to me while she talked to us about the special and answered questions about appetizers and dinner. The mussel/clam steamer and tuna takati were ordered and were brought promptly. The steamer was delicious, just the right combo of wine, butter and garlic. The tuna was dry, the sauce on it was horrible and the whole mess sat on a bed of limp, tasteless vegetables. Worse was we had taken maybe 2 or 3 bites of our appetizers and voila, our entrees were served. My husband asked the waitress if she was joking bringing the entrees so soon after we got our appetizers and her response was "tell me what you want me to do" meaning she would take it back to the kitchen to keep warm while we finished out appetizers. We decided to go ahead and eat the entrees since my husband's tuna appetizer wasn't very good and we wanted to eat the entrees when they were freshly cooked and hot. . The halibut was delicious as well as the grilled asparagus that came with my husband's meal. The rice pilaf seemed to be rice cooked in chicken bullion; essentially tasteless. There was no pilaf in the rice whatsoever. On the recommendation of the waitress I ordered the Chicken Marsala. This was a major disappointment. It was supposed to be 2 chicken breast lightly sautéed and draped in a marsala cream sauce. It was 1 chicken breast sliced in two with a meager tablespoon of a white sauce (made with chicken stock and flour by the taste of it) but nary a drop of marsala to be found. The waitress came back and asked me about the chicken since she recommended it. I told her that in the hurry to bring out the entrees the chef had neglected to put in any marsala. Her only response was "oh really" and walked off. In order to make up for the debacle that was our dinner our waitress offered to buy us a desert. The brownie a la mode was one of the best things we ate at Chef Hogs. Service was dismal and we joked that between the two dinners ordered we were able to enjoy one mediocre dinner and that included the brownie. We will not go back and will definitely will not recommend to family or friends. Very, very dissappointing!

Nice place close to the hotel when visiting town. We unfortunately ordered our food to go an hour or so before they closed. Felt like it was the scraps left over based on what we thought were getting but still tasted great. Very nice staff during my experience.

Wanted to take my elder brother out for a birthday luncheon an after looking at the goo review on Chef Hog, thought we'd try it out. Calling themselves an oyster bar, I was looking forward to some good oysters. However, the server nor the kitchen could tell me what type of oysters they had. I asked if they are fresh shucked and the server didn't know what that meant. Amazing for an oyster bar. I explained what shucking was and asked if they are fresh shucked or have been opened already and sitting in the fridge. They were in the fridge already shucked! Well skip that one. At least she was honest and I would have called it if I ordered them. OYSTERS SHOULD NOT BE PRE-SHUCKED! YUK! The lunch menu was mostly sandwiches, a couple of salads, a couple of pasta dishes. We tried the lobster bisque and wasn't great. Very thick and we couldn't tell if it was lobster bits or imitation crab. I had the cajun pasta with chicken which was okay, but the rest of family had a burger and the brisket sandwich which was so dry and practically inedible. We topped off the mean with a slice of birthday cheese cake which the server was very nice to bring but no birthday candle available but festive still as we celebrated brother's birthday. I do need to say that our server was very accommodating and provided us with nice service. Needless to say that we wouldn't be back, especially if looking for fresh oysters. The reviews I read must have been at a different restaurant.

First time eating at Chef Hog's, went with some friends, they recommended the Brisket, looked pretty good, and it's one of the best I've had, definitely the best in St George. It doesn't even need sauce! Our waitress, Daniela, was very attentive and quick, too. Bottom line, I'm coming back next chance I get.
