This place needs to update their hours. They show as open, but their door is locked. The only reason we drive so far to come here was because they showed as open.

The citizens of Southern Utah should boycott and close this place. Employees are very rude, they look at you with dislike for walking in, apparently they don't like my skin color-white in other words they are RACIST. Get the hell out of Southern Utah.

Walked in expecting to pick up some street tacos.... it took so long that I'm pretty sure I could've driven to Mexico, killed a cow, made tacos, and driven back before this place made my food. Food was decent.

First time eating food from here and was pleasantly surprised! Not sure what I expected. I had called in to order 4 of their small tacos and a churro for pick up - yes they are still open for curbside pick up during this covid crisis - and was able to pick up my order within 15-20 minutes. Looking in the bag I was uncertain there were actually 4 tacos, but upon opening there indeed were and I was pleasantly surprised to find them stuffed with meat. As my initial impression was that they were incredibly tiny. The meat was flavored well - I had 2 carne asada and 2 pollo asado tacos - the chicken was a tad dry, but added a bit of salsa and was still happy with my meal. Also got a cream filled churro and loved it. I would go again.

The tacos and chorizo mulitas here are delicious! I've been living in Washington for over a year and the only regret I have is not discovering this restaurant earlier. The staff is friendly and welcoming. This might be my new favorite place to grab a bite around St. George.

My bride and I went on Friday, Pi day, for the first time and probably won't go back unless we have a good reason to try again. It was about 6 pm. We were the only dine in customers the entire time we were there. We both ordered smothered chicken burritos. We received beef. I wanted to have them fix it but she said don't bother so I didn't. The beef wasn't very good quality. The burritos tasted just ok and came with sliced jalapenos, pico de gallo, head lettuce, a little sour cream and a little guacamole. The bathrooms needed cleaning. Vinyl floor tile planks are installed on the walls with glue showing between the tiles and some of the tiles had fallen off. It looked awful. Ceiling tiles needed replacing. Booths and the tables between them were different lengths. It looked odd. Overall, it looked run down.

Wow! Best carne asada quesadilla in town. Then you have to wash it down with horchata

Utah shockingly has some really good Mexican food. We drove around Utah for July 4th last year and spent some time in St. George. Discovered this place on Yelp and decided to try it. My boyfriend had a very bad first impression of tacos in his younger years, so when he decided to try it again, this place just blew him away! This is probably his favorite Mexican spot, and he always tells people about his special time here. I thought we had it good in the Bay Area, but damn, the Mexican food out in Utah is fiiiiiire! The carne asada tacos were also loaded with meat. Toppings/Salsa bar. Generous portions. Tasty AF. Will be back!

The food was delicious. It was very authentic. I felt like this was a great place for working guys could come and get some good food quickly. The tables needed wiping down or else it would have received a 5 star rating.

I love the tacos here. One of my favorite spots to eat in St George. They are always friendly and the food is always great. They make really good chorizo here!

We have been here several times, have tried a variety of menu items. All were good, no complaints or disappointments but I wouldn't rate it as 5 star either because it was "one of the best things I have ever eaten" so to say. Still, we will continue eating here in our rotation.

DELICIOUS FOOD. Giant burritos, juicy little street tacos, yummy churros and juices. This place is hard to beat. Especially for the price. The quality of the food is amazing.

Visiting St George for first time and found El Coyote on Yelp. Good local Mexican food. Service was quick, only one person working front of the house at 8:00p, she was stretched too thin and unable to keep floors and tables clean, ice machine filled and condiment table was out of stock, not to code for ice to cool vegetables. Food was good, large portions, good value for price. Would return again and recommend. Not coming for ambiance or service, but for decent food and filling meal.

Everything we ate was delicious enough except the churros. We loved their shrimp ceviche. The pork was so so good! The chicken and beef were fine. The rice could use more flavor. They have quirky table cloths, yet fun music and ambiance. I thought their buffet of toppings was fabulous, they even have beans on there. We'd definitely be back!
