We travel to the St George area often and George's is one of our favorite places to eat. My wife and I went for dinner on a Wednesday about 6:45 and sat at the bar. Within 20 minutes we were pretty much the only ones at the bar. Our bartender/server Shev was a blast. She was friendly and attentive while still handling her other responsibilities. We had a great meal and even some dessert. The food is always good and everyone is always so friendly. You won't be disappointed.

My first visit we were seated in the trendy dining room. I found the atmosphere calm, cool, cozy and comfortable. We nibbled on small plates that were exactly that, small, however, creative and a joy to eat. The mahi fish tacos paired well with the local beer we ordered. I also particularly liked the higher alcohol content. The price is moderate. The food a bit generic. You are paying for attentive service and ambiance. My second visit I ordered the French dip and sipped on New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc while dining outside on a chilly fall morning . With a lovely view of the parking lot and surrounding businesses, I was in heaven because I found it to be a quite escape from people and everyday life. The restaurant is versatile, business casual and worth at least one visit.

Devyn, is an amazing communicative, responsive individual who waited on us. The food was great only to be surpassed by her amazing skill set and communicative personality. You’ve got an All-Star here she needs a raise.

This is more of a gourmet restaurant, in my mind. Gourmet for me means good quality food, higher prices, and smaller portions. They have all three of those things. I just prefer a little more food for the money.

Gluten free peeps!! This is a safe space. Maybe not celiac but lots of awesome gluten free options. I got the cheese and steak sandwich on gluten free bread with gluten free fries and it was absolutely delish. Highly recommend! Fun atmosphere and kind and quick service.

Tucked away on the bustling corner of 2 W St. George Blvd, George’s Corner Restaurant is a charming nod to the town’s storied past, evoking the spirit of the original Big Hand Café from the 1930s. This family-owned gastropub blends quirky nostalgia—think black-and-white photos of yesteryear St. George lining the walls—with a vibrant, laid-back vibe that’s perfect for locals and travelers alike. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast amid the morning buzz or settling in for dinner under the stars on their outdoor patio, the atmosphere feels welcoming, like stumbling into a friend’s lively kitchen.
The menu is a love letter to American comfort food, elevated with fresh, local twists. Start with the crispy salmon sliders, their flaky fish paired with zesty slaw that bursts with citrus notes—pure perfection for sharing. For mains, the Philly steak sandwich is a standout: tender, shaved beef piled high on a toasted hoagie with melted provolone and caramelized onions, served with truffle fries that add an indulgent crunch. Vegetarians rejoice—the black bean burger is hearty and flavorful, topped with avocado and chipotle aioli, proving plant-based can be downright decadent. Don’t skip the tableside steak preparation if you’re feeling fancy; watching the chef sear that premium cut right at your table turns dinner into theater.
Service here is the real MVP: attentive without hovering, with staff who remember your name and preferences, making you feel like a regular on your first visit. Portions are generous, prices reasonable (entrees hover around $18-28), and the craft beer selection pairs flawlessly with everything. On a recent Friday, live music from a local acoustic duo filled the air, transforming our meal into an impromptu celebration. If you’re exploring Southern Utah’s red rock wonders, George’s Corner is your savory pit stop—unpretentious, delicious, and utterly memorable. Five stars; we’ll be back for those pork chops next time!

The food was ok. Nothing outstanding or unbelievable but also not below expectations.

Has a very diner-ish feel and food fare experience.

If you're in the mood for dinner then a good stop.

Service was great and the atmosphere is dated but feels clean.

Loved George’s Corner! Sat at the bar with the most friendliest bartender! I wish I remembered her name - long red hair and the prettiest smile. The food was fast and great. Had the Turkey club and the fries were so good my husband ate them all!
