Irmita's Casita Mexican Restaurant

One of the best Mexican restaurants in St George, and a regular repeat stop for us. The moles are their specialty and the best I've ever had. We've tried several. Incredibly nice family owners and a great legacy.

All was good until it was time to pay . I Do Not Like to have to be forced to pay a TIP at card reader ! When she realized I was looking for the 0 tip she made the adjustment . I then paid 0 tip ! A TIP is at the customer's discretion , It is not to be forced upon !

Took the family out for dinner and ended up at Irmita’s after looking at reviews for Mexican restaurants. They were very accommodating for our large family and made us feel like one of their family. The food came out quick and was really good. Everyone gobbled up their whole plate. We had a great experience and loved the atmosphere. Pictured is the stake chimichanga, which was awesome!

I preface this with I lived in Mexico for two years. This place was awesome! It looks like they literally turned a single level house into a restaurant. Mexican music playing, lots of colorful decorations, and the Chile Verde platter I had was delicious! Maybe a touch expensive, I paid over $15 for just myself, but I didn't mind because the food was delicious. They even had some outdoor tables.

The spicy dishes are about as spicy as warm ketchup and they don't serve beer. It's in Utah, so apparently they only cater to the local clientele. It's a cute location, but the service and meals are forgettable. Portion sizes are meh.

Ask about the chicken tide. You won't regret it.

The food was OK. Would expect more being an authentic Mexican restaurant with home cooking. Service was non-existent. Refills were not free. For the price at this location, it's better off going to a franchised Mexican chain.

The food was great and authentic. The menu has meals from different regions of Mexico using a variety of spices. Friendly, quick service even though the restaurant was full of diners. The horchata and jamaica water was the most authentic I've had in the US.
