Went to Outback tonight and ordered the 6 ounce filet and what I received was far from what I ordered. The steak was far from a filet. It was tough and way overcooked for medium. Talked to the server who sent the manager to our table. I explained that the “Filet” was in no way the tender steak I ordered and it was very tough along with being overcooked. I only took one bite out of the steak and did not eat the rest. He said he wanted to make it right and would only charge me for a Sirloin (because that was what it probably was ) plus 10% off the steak. I did not argue with him, thought it was ridiculous, but went ahead and paid for it. So in the end I received a very tough steak that I didn’t order that was overcooked and only took one bite out of it. Me and the wife were limited on time. The place was almost empty, I guess we missed that clue. Server was good, place was under construction.

Outback used to be my favorite restaurant in St. George about 20 years ago. How far downhill can you go? We were seated but the music was so loud and irritating and the air was blowing directly on us on a cold day. We told the hostess and with an attitude we were informed there was nothing they could do about it. We decided to order the food to go. Forty five minutes later we still didn't have our food. I asked to talk to a manager and the waitress said there wasn't one on duty. Odd. My friend told the hostess we were leaving without our food. We had not yet paid. She glared at us the entire time. I told her I prefer to have a waitress without all the hardware hanging from her nose. She said I was very rude. Yes, it was rude but I was pushed to my limit. I then asked again for a manager. Miraculously one came from the back. A young man with a dirty shirt. He said he would speak to the hostess. He went to the back and just like that there was our food. We left anyway.
I truly feel sorry for Outback. Like other reviewers I wonder what has happened. Are they so desperate for help that they will hire anyone? I've had enough. Something nice to say? The scary looking waitress was nice and offered us bread.
I should also mention that there were few people there at 12:30 in the afternoon so no excuse for slow food.

They consistently give the wrong order or just do not bother giving you parts of what you ordered at all.
They refuse to make it right.
So we have decided to no longer order from here due to lack of any quality control whatsoever and the blatant thievery of not giving what you paid for. I thought stealing was illegal. One time they said they’d send a gift certificate, but never did. So they lie as well.
I recommend to NOT get take-out. Only eat in restaurant because these people will steal your money and refuse to make it right.
Horrible beyond comprehension.
I ordered a burger (cooked medium) and the waitress put this down in front of me. It looked underdone, so I cut it open and a living, breathing cow was staring at me. When the waitress came over next I explained the predicament and she responded by saying, “This is a medium. Bit of advice for next time; ask for a medium well.” and walked away without helping me at all. Not sure her name but she was working on November 16, 2025 and 12:16 PM. MIND YOU this whole thing happened after waiting an extremely long time for the food. With how long we waited I really thought I’d get a plate of charred meat. What was the burger doing back there? Were they brushing the cow’s hair and milking it? And why was the waitress giving attitude? The meat had clearly gone straight from the packaging into my burger. Why wasn’t she on my side? The kind of questions I guess only God can answer me.
EDIT: Owner responded to me here, but they never got back to me :( would recommend any other place for beef where they don't store the cows alive in the pen out-back (haha)

Our visit to Outback felt like something straight out of a Seinfeld episode. We made a reservation for thirty a few weeks in advance, confirmed it again a few days before, and even checked in three hours prior. Everything seemed set… until we arrived.
Despite all the confirmations, the place was nearly full. They had the reservation — they just didn’t “hold the reservation”…
Fortunately, after a few quick calls, we landed at LongHorn about 15 minutes later and the night turned out great.
Wait staff were slow even though there were only 5 or 6 tables total at the time

This restaurant is dirty. I couldn't even enjoy my food. The walls by the booths look like they never get wiped. They wiped the food from tables on the floor and just never swept
My steak was so done it was chewy. I told the waiter that it ended up well done and he said yes that's well done and didn't offer anything to remedy the situation

Went here a few days ago and man I tell you. It was the best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a while. Hostess was very sweet and sat us at a booth not too far from the entrance as our feet were tired from hiking Zions earlier that day. Our Server was on top of it. They had our drinks filled up before we even had to ask, took care of our needs such as providing our sauces for the amazingly cooked blooming onion burger I got medium. And the Carrot Cake for our dessert was delicious! My wife got the Queensland Pasta and she loved it! Place was kept tidy and atmosphere was great! So many compliments to the cooks and the manager for providing us with such an awesome experience. Will be back next time we visit St. George!

Horrible first time and will be my last. Waitress was not available or made herself not available majority of our stay. Had to get someone to get our Waitress so we could pay and leave. Our steak was the quality of $3 with absolutely no seasoning, most bland food I have ever tasted and the drinks were weak as well...mostly ice. The atmosphere/ decor in desperate need of change. Would have bought more if our Waitress was available or lacking being available. Never would I or my husband will return to this establishment. There was also a few other people complaining about their food when we were leaving that night as well.

Recommended dishes: Bloomin' Onion, Salad
Only 2 servers on staff at lunch. Med well done steak way past well done. GF options few and far between. The oil the bloomin onion was cooked in was old enough we could smell that it was old when it was placed on our table. Remember now why it's been a couple of years since we've been there, probably be that many more until we go back.
Dietary restrictions: GF is not part of the language spoken here.
