We have only had breakfast here, and we feel it is the best breakfast served in town. However, the decor can really use a spruce up. The chairs are small and hard, and the booths are well-worn.
Food wasn’t too bad. Prices were decent. Pretty standard diner fair.
What ruined it for me was that there was a buser who seemed new, but not the new buser herself but the way the server treated the new buser. The server who I am assuming has been tasked with training the buser was exceptionally rude to the buser. Scolding her for missing an order or not clarifying “what kind of tea” the patron wanted. I’ve been in and out of the industry for over a decade and if there’s one thing I ever learned is to always treat your support staff with respect. It is super easy to help a new worker out, “hey, why don’t you write the orders down and repeat the order back to everyone to be sure the order is correct”.
Not only was this behaviour abhorrent, it was done within easy earshot of the patrons and made the dining experience exceptionally uncomfortable.
A server doesn’t run the restaurant, they are the face of it and without support staff would go home making minimum wage.
This server seemed young but needs to be put in her place now before she build lifelong career habits like this. The bus lady was green behind the ears but was exceptionally kind throughout service and took excellent and personalised care, and was able to work effectively with this server constantly berating her.
Not here to name names, but I just got out of breakfast a few minutes ago (6/2 11:15 am), I hope management reads this and educates the server on private and teamwork so she can have a healthier mental and professional life moving forward.
They were fast welcoming and respectful. The food was delicious and affordable plan to come back
Fresh and tasty!
Small quite diner. Fantastic food and friendly atmosphere. Great prices for the amount of food you get!
Delicious food and great costumer service!
Delicious omelets, great potatoes. The service was fast and friendly. Plenty of fresh coffee Refills. The food portions are huge, enough to split a meal or Plenty of leftovers.
When in St. George, THIS is where to eat breakfast.

We have been here several times Marylu is one of the greatest waitresses we have had. Makes sure we always are taken care of. The food is always cooked to perfection. I would recommend the wagon wheel to anyone. The desserts are the bomb.

Hate to leave a bad review on a local staple of St George, but boy has this place fell off. Susan the hostess is the main reason for the review, she's very rude especially if you have children.
I had sausage (link), eggs and hashbrowns, with toast, homemade jellies (4 choices) and coffee.
In the past have had the meat lovers omelet (huge!) which is always good, with hash browns.
This is a favorite and have tried other places, but don't compare, in my opinion, and I'm particular. (worked restaurants for 8 years, so I look at things differently)

I went to Wagon Wheel on my into work. It was just me, no one else. At the entrance it says please wait to be seated. I stood up there for a good 5 minutes before someone came up and greeted and seated me. There were a total of approximately 10 - 12 tables in the restaurant and there were around 4 empty one's. The hostess seated me, brought me a menu and asked what I wanted to drink. I ordered a water. It came out right away. She told me that the waitress would be with me in a minute. I was fine with that. I waited 15 minutes and the waitress never came over to take my order. Since I had to be to work in 30 minutes I had to leave. I knew I would be late to work if the service just to take my order was slow I could only imagine how long it would take to get my food. Even if they were short handed you would think they'd have the hostess who brought my water say something like "I'm sorry we only have 1 waitress, but she'll be with you when she frees up." Or the hostesss could have taken my order and brought it to the kitchen. How difficult is that. The hostess was older, in her 60's (at least) and the waitress was probably in her 30's. The hostess seemed more than capable of taking an order.
There are plenty of choices for breakfast in St. George. I think I'll try a different place next time. I'd advise you to do the same.
