This is a health code nightmare. No one was wearing hairnets. Only the cooks were wearing gloves (no one on service line was). The serving line was such a mess and it was a slow service time. Employees had their phones out and visable to customers. I decided not to ear to avoid the inevitable health risk it would impose.

I tried Zao for the first time last week and ended up going 3 times last week. The bowls are fresh and full of flavor. The portions are generous.

We all loved the food and the atmosphere here. But the service really stands out. The young woman taking our orders is named Eden. My son wanted to order for himself today. He has a very noticeable stutter so ordering for himself is challenging. But Eden was very patient with him while he got his words out. She was attentive, kind, and helpful as he struggled through. I’m very proud of him for putting himself out there, but Eden made such a difference in his experience and that means a lot to us. Give the girl a raise.

We came in on July 6th, and still today I felt the need to leave a review.

We had the best experience, and honestly maybe the best since living here. The group of guys working were the most friendly, customer service focused individuals. I was genuinely impressed. They took time to explain their sauces and what they recommended. The food was fresh and tasted great, the place was so clean. And to top it off, one of the guys helped a family with two little kids get their drinks.

Their customer service alone will have us coming back.

This place Place has a really good atmosphere that I can get behind that sort of Zen feeling to it and the food is better. The food is delicious. The sauces are balanced out perfectly so there’s not too much sweetness, but not too much spice to it.

I LOVE Zao's! I made my family come to the St. George one twice during our extended family reunion. They were really BIG groups and we didn't give them any warning. But they were on it!! I always go to Zao's when I'm in a town that has one.

Ahhh yes!! Loved it, first time. Utah is my second home and only wish you will come to California start in Orange County, north or south will be best!! Great food, gluten free teriyaki sauce! Rice was bomb. I decided to go here instead of my other love aubergine.
