I usually love Oh Mai- their honey glazed pork bahn mi being my favorite on the menu. Unfortunately my fiance got a sandwich tonight where the pork belly quite literally tasted like poop. Absolutely disgusting. Looked online and it looks like boar taint.

I was skeptical of this place when I came inside because I could clearly see health code violations in the kitchen. No gloves, no hairnets, and regular street clothes on the workers in the back. Ordered a sandwich to go and the chicken was raw on the inside. They were extremely friendly, but for the price and quality, I would skip this one.

I have Loved Oh Mai sandwich shop for years! My usual location is the one in south salt lake. It is so good usually. Unfortunately, the first time I tried the taylorsville location, I was very unimpressed. Something about the chicken curry bahnmi sandwich wasn’t the same. The chicken seems to be mushy, and the bread was soggy. Not the same. I will likely just go to the south salt lake location in the future.

I ordered a banh mi sandwich and first thing I noticed was a hair sticking out of it…. So I go up to the owner and he looks at it and was like where? I pointed to it and he insisted that it was not hair because hair is darker he said defensively. So I asked him what is it then and he sticks he’s finger in my sandwich pulls out whatever the thing was and said I don’t know but it’s not hair… at this point I just asked for a new one which he was upset about that too and he went back to tell his wife and the whole time I just felt a bad energy I look up and his wife was giving me the nastiest stare literally eye contact with me… the dirtiest look ever! Such an unwelcome feeling. Definitely not going back!!

I've seen this place many times and decided to try it. Very good food and everything tasted so fresh. I'll be back

The Pho and the sandwiches are amazing! The broth for the Pho is some of the best I've had, all the veggies were fresh, the meat was tender, and noodles were perfect!

The service is standard for a deli style restaurant. I love the decorations! It's a great place 10/10 would recommend.
