We had bread with olive oil, a carrot appetizer, the poblano pepper with tofu, the oat cake, and they were all different and delicious. We ate on their beautiful deck at night with the noise of flowing water in the background. This place felt very fancy and romantic, but most people were dressed casually.
The portions are tiny and expensive, but well worth it when visiting Bryce Canyon.

Fine dining in Tropic UT. After a day hiking Bryce Canyon, Stone Hearth Grille provides a welcome repast with excellent food. Menu is not expansive, but virtually everything is sourced locally, well prepared and presented. Short wine list but comprehensive selection. Views are spectacular, especially from the outside deck (weather permitting). First rate service. Not cheap, quality food at a good price.
Arrogant maître d', amateur service, long waits between waiter attention, drab and noisy dining room, mediocre wine list. On the plus side, the food: excellent ingredients expertly prepared, making this the only place in the area for better dining.
