I’ve been to a lot of Cafe Rio’s and this one, at least on the night we went, was terrible. It took about 30 minutes to get my food ordered in line until I paid and there were only 4 people in front of me. The burritos were great but the horchata was very watered down and disappointing.
In July 2025, we visited the Cafe Rio in Vernal, Utah. We had spent the day exploring and enjoying the nearby Dinosaur National Monument. We were hungry in the evening, and it was great to see a familiar favorite, Cafe Rio, on the Vernal main road, US 40. We enjoyed a delicious meal at favorable prices, and we had a great experience. I give four stars because it's fast food, so service and ambience take a hit. You order in a line and pick up at the register and then grab an open seat, indoors or outdoors. Food is tasty, made to order and reasonably priced, service was efficient and quick and the seating was adequate. Definitely worth a stop.
