Everything about this Cafe Rio is great, except for the wait times. I typically place my order at least an hour in advance, yet when I arrive at the scheduled time, I still end up waiting another 20 minutes. Even with 10+ names on the pickup screen, the list barely moves—and the drive-thru isn’t even that busy. It’s hard to tell whose food they’re actually making.

Took 45+ minutes for a to-go order. Food was good but no sense of urgency from staff.

I just need to shoutout Andrew! Every time I come to this location he makes the experience a billion times better! And I mean every single time he’s here, which is multiple times a month. He is always so rad and helpful. He’s got the best energy.

Side note. An item was missing from our drive thru order and I had to go inside to get it. Then Andrew got yelled at in a very public and unprofessional way. Yeah, let’s not treat the best employee I’ve ever interacted with at this location that way. Without him this location would get a much lower score.

I don’t know why but my order is always wrong

This is an online only location which makes it bad in my opinion. The wait times are very long you would be better of going to a location where they serve the food in front of you. I’ve not enjoyed this location the Orem one is far better.

This is the first review I’ve ever left anywhere. This is the worst establishment I’ve ever been to by far and has been for years. The employees act like they have no idea what they are doing, I’ve never once got my order right, I’ve never waited in the drive thru for less than an hour, and much more I could go on and on about. The worst customer service ever. If you want cafe rio, go to any other location because you won’t get what you want from this one. The bad reviews and terrible service have been happening for years and they have done NOTHING to change it. If you want to waste your money, not get what you paid for, wait hours in line and get the wrong order over and over and over then this is the place for you. I cannot even express how terrible this location is. I love cafe rio but this location is hell. Avoid at all costs. They probably owe me hundreds of dollars in food I never got. Again, I could go on and on about how terrible it is. -100000000/10

Manager, staff your place. These poor workers work too hard for the demands placed on them on a Thursday night. They smiled, they hustled, and they communicated with patient and impatient customers alike. But somebody somewhere's got the money to make their workload bearable. Do better.

Actually genuinely think this is the worsr cafe rio in the state. They definitely thought the different layout from the rest was a good idea… and they couldn’t be any more wrong.

The drive through is awesome I wish they all had one but the inside is literally horrible.

The system this way takes way longer. Usually orders are less accurate and I think it’s more frustrating for most people. As weird as that sounds I think waiting in a longer line the normal way I’d much prefer.

I have been to this Café Rio at least four times, and literally all four times they have taken way too long to give me my order in the drive-thru. It has been very frustrating because sometimes I come thinking it will be quick since I have little time before going to work, and it always takes longer than normal.

I rarely leave bad reviews, and I truly love Café Rio’s food, but honestly this location is very bad in that sense.

Picked up a large order of 10 dishes and one of the burritos had a screw in the middle of the burrito! Nothing bad happened, but this should not have happened and I'm disappointed in how Cafe Rio handled this (they credited our account a small portion of the total of the meal, when someone could have seriously been injured). We usually go to this location and they have a nice staff, but this incident was NOT OKAY.

Wow- I haven't been to Cafe Rio in years. I went hoping for some pretty good food like I've had in years past. The food was.....fine, I guess. EVERYTHING else about the experience there was really bad. Starting with zero human interaction, we ordered from a machine which gave us no options for customization like adding extra cheese to my quesadilla. Then we watched a screen waiting to find out when our order would be ready (because evem the small amount of.guman interactionof a worker handing you your order or clearly callimg out your name is too much to ask for). When it was ready, it was presented in a giant plastic and unnecessary bag because we were eating in the restaurant. My husband's burrito was mildly warm, my son's taco was meh and my quesadilla was, as expected, seriously lacking in cheese. Really, it was all quite mid. The feeling of being in a cafeteria where the cafeteria workers hate their lives was present. I don't blame the workers at all. All of these things were clearly company management decisions; bad, thoughtless, and analytics-driven decisions. We ended the meal with a giant plastic bag full of our garbage because there was so much unnecessary packaging. Overall- I am disappointed, won't be going there again, and won't be recommending it to anyone.

Our order said it would be ready 30 minutes ago so we rushed over to get it, just to wait in a drive thru that took 40 minutes. We got home and realized our order wasn’t complete and the tortillas were burned. Similar things have happened at this location many times. The only reason we go here instead of Costa Vida is because it’s closer, but that won’t be happening again.

My sister and I have been patrons of cafe rio for well over two decades. The vineyard location is so so sus. To order you have to use a digital kiosk (whatever happened to human connection?). The atmosphere was the worst of nearly any restaurant I’ve been to. Additionally, upon placing my order I was appalled to see that there was the “momtok menu” (what is this corporate sellout? Who do you think I am?). Ok I’m done now. (said in a mid atlantic accent)
