The place is beautiful inside but the service was very slow, it took 20 minutes to get our food and the place was empty at 6:00 pm. The food looked great but the beans were dry and bland. The meat in my chile verde burrito was overpowered by what I'm assuming to be cumin. to the point that i didn't eat but 2 bits of a huge burrito. looks to me like a personnel problem that could easily be fixed. because we have had there food at other location and it was good.

This location does not follow what their hours state. Ive been here once at 11:15 and another time around 3 and the doors were locked. The 3 time a guy told me they were closed until dinner, which isnt shown or stated anywhere. At least update the hours to be real.I always enjoy the pastor tacos and various salsas when here. Just frustrating i was talking it up to my wife to finnally get her to try it and the doors are locked during business hours.

I have NO idea why this place has a 3.8 review. This place is SUPER clean...girl that took our order was very sweet. The food was so good. They even made me fresh guacamole!!! This is definitely a 5.0!!! I'll be back!!

Easily the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in UT. We were the only ones there and it took over 35 minutes to get the food. When we opened it up at home 50% of the meals were wrong.Even the correct meal had more fat and tendon than meat.The fountain drink machine was broken so my boys couldn’t even get water.The location is cool and the people were nice but everything else was horrible.Other El Mexiquense locations have been great, but this one is horribly run.

Save yourself time and money!!!! This isn’t a “off day” for them. If you read other people experience of this place, you will go elsewhere. Which we should have read before we got there. The service was bad! They served each of my family member at random times after waiting for about an hour. They then served other people and then come back to your table with another plate. Food was bland, over use of salt and the chicken looked a few days old. Our food was also cold. I have a food allergy to eggs and requested no mayonnaise on my sandwich at all, which after a couple bites I found out it did have mayonnaise that they tried to scrap off. I got super sick the rest of the night and my other family members also got sick. We should have asked for a refund!

I was skeptical because of the reviews, but I was also hungry so I came in. While I waited for my order they gave me complimentary chips - I got the regular salsa to pair and it was great. The chips were still hot, very fresh. I got three carne asada tacos and they were so fresh and delicious. Staff was nice too!
