I read a lot of the reviews but no one mentioned THE BEST THING ON THE MENU, THE COCONUT ICECREAM ON SWEET STICKY RICE❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ I have never tasted anything so incredibly delicious❣️ All the food I had was scrumptious but the coconut ice cream was truly divine❣️ I WILL BE BACK❣️

My all time favorite Thai place in Utah! Their Pad Thai reminds me of the best Thai food restaurant in Bellevue, WA where I grew up called Thai Ginger. I have tried every Thai restaurant in Utah county, and now I drive the 40 minutes to Red Basil when I want the best Thai! Thank you!

Red Basil is a hidden gem in West Jordan and a fantastic addition to the community! Located in a humble strip mall, I didn’t expect such a beautifully designed interior. The space is modern, clean, and inviting—clearly crafted with care and love. I was greeted immediately by an incredibly kind and friendly waitress, which made me feel welcome from the start.

One note for those with sensitive eyes: walking in from a sunny day, it took a moment for mine to adjust to the dark interior. But once I adjusted, everything else about the experience was amazing.

I ordered online for pickup and was impressed by their seamless tech and website. It was super easy to use, and I appreciated being able to pay with Apple Pay—huge plus for convenience!

Here’s what I ordered (in order of favorite):
1. Chicken Satay – The chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful with a smoky Thai spice blend. Not dry at all. The peanut sauce was sweet with a hint of vegetables—really elevated the dish.
2. Pad Thai (no meat, extra peanuts) – Solid and satisfying. It wasn’t miles above the rest, but I’d definitely order it again. Comforting and well-balanced.
3. Mango Sticky Rice – Perfect texture, with ripe and sweet mango. I personally would’ve liked a bit more coconut sauce, but it was still delicious and not overly sugary.
4. Tom Kha Soup – This was my least favorite. It had a more savory, tomato-forward twist that I wasn’t expecting. I missed the coconut sweetness and floral notes from lemongrass and cilantro that I usually associate with this dish. That said, it’s a unique version and could appeal to those who enjoy a more earthy spin on Tom Kha.

Parking was easy despite some construction nearby, and again, the service was truly some of the best I’ve experienced in Salt Lake County. There’s a light, high-vibe energy in this place that makes you want to come back. I’m really excited to return and try more of the menu!

We have been going to Red Thai Basil since it opened. Great atmosphere, and very nice workers. Even though it can get crowded it still seems quite. Recently we had a problem with an online order that got processed twice. I cancelled one order, but was charged. When I tried to contact the web company it wouldn't go through, but when I contacted Red Thai Basil they got to the bottom of the issue quickly. Very impressed!

Red Basil is some of my favorite Thai food I’ve ever had! They have vegan and vegetarian options and everything is so delicious. The inside is super cute and fun to see. It’s very clean inside and the staff is always friendly.

Fantastic! The Panang curry was the best curry I've ever had- i loved the complexity of flavors and just the right heat. Soooo good. The atmosphere is so fun and well done and our server was friendly and courteous. We live in north Utah County but we'll make our way back up for sure!

Great food, tastes very authentic. You can change the spice level. I had level five and it perfectly hot and flavor was so good. Quantity is a bit less compared to other restaurant but it was good enough for me.

The best part about this place is the ambiance and it’s family owned! But the price point didn’t match the portions and quality of food. Most Thai restaurants give you good sized portions for the meal you get. Also they charge extra for extra rice when they don’t even give enough in the first place so that is quite frustrating. I’ve never been to a Thai restaurant that charges more for extra rice. The chicken kabobs were $12 and probably only amounted to half a chicken breast. The food was good but not great and I’ve been to plenty of Thai places that did it better. I probably won’t be coming back to this one unfortunately.

Trying their Red curry pineapple, pad ka Prow, and massaman with vegetable soup and salad lunch specials

We still continue to visit this place, and it's still the best in Utah. IMHO. We specifically go at lunch to take advantage of their lunch specials. Our favorites are Pad Ka Prow, Massaman curry, and Bamboo curry... we just tried the Garlic Pwpper chicken which was really good so we will be ordering that again in the near future. The ambiance is 2nd to none. Those that have been here know the difference. Still favorite dish this their chicken satay skewers which come with a rich peanut sauce and their chicken pad thai. The owners of the restaurant work their and maintain their high level of quality. Everyone that I take there, they end up saying this is their tip 1-3 places to eat.

Best Thai food I've had here in SLC. I have been to multiple Thai restaurants and it just doesn't compare to the taste. It's a bit on the pricey side so be forewarned. The people that own the restaurant are down to earth and love their customers.

First time here, and I really liked it! Was craving Thai food, and this restaurant was nearby in West Jordan. Ordered the Prad kaprow with ground pork and fried egg, Panang curry with chicken, hot Chrysanthemum tea (perfect for a cold night), and mango sticky rice for dessert. The flavors were authentic, and the staff was really nice and attentive. The mango sticky rice was really good, but a tad too sweet. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

I love the decorations and the atmosphere. But the food is exceptional. I really like the cashew chicken, bbq pork on a stick, and mago sticky rice!!

It's the best Thai food I think I have ever had
