Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Delicious, friendly, great atmosphere

I visited Rita’s on Tuesday, May 27 around 8:50 PM and left extremely disappointed. I paid $7 for what was basically a tablespoon of ice cream — completely unreasonable for the price.

While I do like the ice cream itself, the service was unprofessional. The employee had a poor attitude and seemed more focused on socializing with her friends, who were hanging out loudly inside the store.

Employees should not have friends lingering during shifts, and if they are present, staff still need to represent the business professionally. I didn’t feel respected as a paying customer, and I won’t be returning unless changes are made.

while the service was friendly, the experience was somewhat underwhelming. The moment I walked in, there was a strong chemical smell in the shop, which was pretty overpowering and made the atmosphere less inviting.

As for the frozen ice, nothing particularly stood out. The texture was fine, but the flavors leaned too sweet for my taste, without much depth or uniqueness. If you're looking for a classic frozen treat, it might still be worth a try, but I didn’t find anything special about it.

I got a layered one with custard and ice. Delicious.

Being from the Jersey/Philly area, I was so surprised and excited to see a Rita's right down the street from us.

Favorite since I was a little kid: gelati with cherry and mango ice, vanilla custard. This is the way.

The sales person wasn't very happy to see us come in and seemed annoyed while making our orders. But the custard is incredible and the ice was great.

Loved their pistachio and blackberry ice cream, so delicious! I wasn't a fan of their Italian ice flavors, probably because they are all artificial flavoring and I am far too reminded of medicine I had as a kid. ? Others seemed to really enjoy it, so to each their own, but if you don't like banana flavoring, do yourself a favor and don't try the banana Italian ice.

Parker is very nice and I really like the Coke mixer he recommended

I actually really like the Italian ice and custard here but for like three years they've been saying the chocolate custard is broken. I don't understand how it could take so long to fix this. Anyway, I'm not going to bother going back. If you don't care about chocolate custard you can give this place a try.

This was my first time I’ve never had Italian ice until today. The girls are very friendly and even let you taste the flavors which was very kind of them: I ordered a frozen lemonade and a blendini and I loved it. Will be coming backs
