I enjoy this restaurant, but my main complaint is this: The Chef has no idea how to cook a steak. I've been here 4 times, and it's tasty food every time. However, I'm not a big fan of seafood, so I typically order the Sakana Steak. I always order it medium rare, and it comes to me well done every time. I sent it back once and it came back even more overcooked with the outside burnt. The sauce is a good redeeming quality, their teriyaki is great. The salmon, also great. The prices aren't cheap so when I get a dry and overcooked steak, it makes me sad. My girlfriend and her family love the sushi, they have a live sushi chef making fresh rolls as they're ordered. Salads and soups are good. Alcohol choice is also good. Just don't order a steak.Vegetarian options: Girlfriend's Father is vegan and can always find something he enjoys thoroughly. Personally I don't care for the vegan/vegetarian options but he never complains.Kid-friendliness: While they don't have a very expansive choice for children, if your kids like sushi, they're covered. There's a ton of choices and they can be made individually with changes to the order.

Update 4/11/24Seems like this place might be under new ownership or something because the atmosphere is not the same and doesn’t feel like it has the same level of customer service. Also they blast the AC even though it’s only 50° outside and they have the fans blowing so hard it makes it not very enjoyable environment to sit down and have lunch. They proceeded to tell me they have to have that cold in there, and the fans blowing so hard because of the fish which sounds like a weird excuse and only creates more questions….Wow what a great place to come and enjoy a meal, from the great staff amazing service and even better food I’ll definitely be coming again.

Just go to tokai or kobe lol.The sushi was pretty bland and all of the rolls were off or boring. The pork katsu was bad, coated in so much lemon pepper, the breading was falling apart in strips. When I told them it wasn't what we expected they looked at me funny and would not take it off the bill. It was like $16.50+. I've had better service at any restaurant, where they're willing to remove an item if it was made poorly. Just a poor dining experience and very expensive, probably the most "white-people" sushi I've ever had. Its hard to find good stuff in the valley. Very uninspired menu and expensive. $90 meal (3 rolls and a katsu plate)...

Overpriced and tasteless. This was $16.87. They also wouldn't let me have a beer while I waited for my food (takeout). This is the first restaurant in Utah to deny that request. It isn't against the law and I had ordered a food item.
Staffs are very frendly and they are treating customer very nicely.. Food was great.... I went there couple of times... I would recommend this Resturant.
