To die for!! So delicious

Love this place! Just discovered it after googling dessert places in the salt lake area. It is the quaintest little place along Redwood Road, inside of a cool old home that has been renovated as an eatery. The ambiance is so cool and the desserts are great! We got a pizookie and were surprised that they baked it for us fresh right then and there. Got a few other bakery treats to take home. We’ll definitely be coming back here again!

Delicious chocolate cake and excellent service

Oh boy. Fare better than any Crumble cookie I have ever had. Got the chocolate cream sandwich. Heaven. Only thing I wish is a calorie list. But so good.

Went to THE CHOCOLATE and was deeply disappointed. I had been craving a good chocolate cake and got excited when I saw some above the counter. I paid $6 for a very thin slice of cake that was very dry. On top of that, the frosting tasted like it was store bought. For a store named after chocolate I figured the one thing they’d get right is the chocolate cake. The staff were not very welcoming to me and my family. Needless to say we will not be coming back.

First time going here. Went in around 8 pm on a Wednesday night. It took about 15 minutes to order. The 2 girls working couldn't handle the number of people coming through. We sat down and waited nearly 30 minutes for one of the girls to bring an apple pie bar that she could've handed me 30 minutes earlier. 20 minutes after that we asked if she was bringing the rest of our order. Confused, she brought back a piece of cake and a cookie that we didn't order. She apologized that they ran out of apple pie bars. I pointed at the apple pie bar already in front of me. We then asked if she would bring the milk we ordered and the correct piece of cake. About five minutes later she finally fulfilled our order. All they had to do was plate two items and pour two glasses of milk. It took almost an hour. The ingredients used were slightly sub-par. The service was atrocious. The "house" is run down. There was a big chip in one of the plates they served the cake on. I guess we'll have to keep looking for a better dessert place that's more professionally run.

Great desserts but the young man boxing up and taking our order kept leaving while we were ordering midsentence, complained about it being a hard job and we ended up leaving with only 2 items when we ordered 5. We just didn't notice in the box till we got home and it was too late.

Great place for a dessert date night or just to satisfy your sweet tooth. Cazookies and cakes are all excellent

Such a great dessert place. It’s hard to find at night as it’s not well lit on the side of the street and there’s no major lit sign. The inside is old, but I think that gives it its charm and sets it apart. The service was kinda meh, the guy at the front didn’t seem to know what I was asking for (wanted ice cream on the side) and they brought me ice cream on the cookie as well as another scoop in the freezer. Which I understand my ask was way weird so understandable. Everything tastes so good.

Unsuspecting little place offers delicious deserts in a comfortable, casual environment. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out in multiple rooms. Enjoyed a cookie and a cazookie both were great.

Normally I love the food here but this time my brownie was really dry. I expect a moist and fresh brownie at these prices. Maybe I'll stick with the cazookie going forward.
