THE CHOCOLATE, a dessert cafe

I had never heard of this place but had a gift card and stopped in. The housecits built insidecof has to be a historical site. Very quaint and feels like grandmaa house. The 3 layer cakes with butter frosting is probably the best ive ever had! No kidding...delicisious!

If I could give 0 stars I would! I walked in an hour before closing and to start there was nothing out so I wasn’t sure what was still available. Then the lady standing there didn’t say anything at all which to me felt awkward. I went with a slice of chocolate cake since that’s all I could see and it was mediocre at best. I could honestly make a homemade chocolate cake better and cheaper. $8 for a slice of shitty chocolate cake is ridiculous!!

Super cute place inside. Really charming little shop. Only two stars because I spent $25 and the brownie with Oreos inside and the Hello Dolly bar were hard as a ROCK. We couldn’t cut through them with a knife! They “broke” when I tried and were so dry and old — I wondered what was going on there 🤷🏻‍♀️ However, the Ca-zookie with ice cream was amazing and for that alone, I would go back🥰

I got a cazookie to go, which is ice cream and an oversized fresh baked cookie. The cookie was baked to warm delight, and I would have preferred to not have the ice cream in a Styrofoam cup, but was a nice size scoop.

It can easily be a dessert to share with others.

I'm sure if you order it for dine in. The dessert would be that much more enjoyable.

It's a cozy little hole in the wall that one could just miss if you don't pay attention. Definitely going there again

My husband and I went for date night. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere is super cozy. The cozookie was amazing!!!

Great little awesome vibe. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious.
Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and I was told that the Cherub is the best piece of cake to eat.
I will definitely keep returning here.

Love this place! Just discovered it after googling dessert places in the salt lake area. It is the quaintest little place along Redwood Road, inside of a cool old home that has been renovated as an eatery. The ambiance is so cool and the desserts are great! We got a pizookie and were surprised that they baked it for us fresh right then and there. Got a few other bakery treats to take home. We’ll definitely be coming back here again!

Delicious chocolate cake and excellent service

Oh boy. Fare better than any Crumble cookie I have ever had. Got the chocolate cream sandwich. Heaven. Only thing I wish is a calorie list. But so good.
