Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

No point placing online orders ahead of time when all they do is get it wrong every single time. I’ve never posted a review about this but I am tired of it. They ALWAYS forget to put my whole order & when I go back to get the rest of the food, they always have a terrible attitude. Not even worth coming here anymore.

We had a really frustrating experience trying to order. The app repeatedly said that some items in our cart weren’t available, but it wouldn’t show which items were the problem. We tried removing items, changing sides, and even ordering through the website, but nothing worked there either.

This went on for nearly an hour and ended up being a huge inconvenience for our family. We eventually had to give up and go elsewhere, and because of the delay not everyone was able to eat. Hopefully this issue gets fixed, because the app and website made it impossible to place an order.

I had a pretty big order and Alfredo made sure it got taken care care of super quick! Amazing service from Alfredo, managers should look to give him a raise😉

Before ordering my enchiladas, I asked if they had corn tortillas because of a gluten allergy, they confirmed that they DID have corn tortillas. I ordered the enchiladas and pulled up to the window to pay and Verified that they would be corn tortillas and not flour. the lady Asked the people making the food if they were going to be corn tortillas and while she was waiting for an answer, she took my payment. Only to find out that they were out of corn tortillas. I told them That I needed to cancel the order, as we have a gluten allergy. Instead of giving me a full refund and recharging me for the other meals That I purchased, They told me that The enchilada meal was voided, and the difference will be sent back to my bank. Which never did happen until I reached out to customer support TWICE. The lady who was helping me was very rude and did not even apologize. I will never be going back here. The customer service is 0/10.

Went through drive-thru and the said they were closed at 7:10pm on a Sunday. It’s clear on google they’re open until 10pm normally. I understand if issues come up where you have to close early, but I’d explain that to your customers rather than just saying “we’re closed” with no other explanation.

I'm not sure of the persons name but he calls everyone AMIGO! He is the type of management you want to keep. Never seen someone to take a second after your purchase walk around to ask how your meal is. FANTASTIC SERVICE

Aldofo is genuinely the NICEST manager I have ever met. Every time I walk into this location he greets me with genuine care and respect EVERY SINGLE TIME. I higly reccomend going to this location out of any other spot. The overall service is a 100/10. Thank you Aldofo!!

They closed at 9 and we had no idea so we walked in and immediately they look at us and say nothing, then we proceeded to walking up to the counter and wait because every other store said they were still open except this one. We wait for a good few minutes and the workers just stare at us occasionally and say nothing, they smile mockingly and still say nothing. If they had let us know that they were closed or anything we would have left at the beginning but they didn’t even say anything to us and we were just embarrassed standing there. We stayed for 5 minutes before leaving and it was just not a good experience at all. I understand how it can be like frustrating when people come in right before closing or after but we genuinely had no idea and they just mocked us essentially without even communicating that they were closed?

This is the best Cafe Rio I've been to in the SLC area. The manager Adolfo, genuinely cares and gives it his all. The small details aren't missed here and the result is great quality food and didn't experience. Their pollo asado is the best I've had at any Rio.
