I hate to say this but last night was the second time in a row I have had a bad meal. And at two different locations. Don't know what is going on with Cracker Barrel as it used to be one of my favorite places to eat while traveling.The southern fried chicken I had was overcooked and seemed like it had been cooked several hours before. Same with the carrots and the hash brown casserole.The corn bread was crumbly and the biscuits were small and dry.Please Cracker Barrel get your act together.

I usually come by about twice a month and always great, this time I left unhappy, to begin there were several customers standing outside the door at 7:05 am waiting for the someone to open up. The manager finally came to open the doors and instead of apologizing for the short wait he blamed it on the cashier being late? That was the reason doors were not open at 7 am sharp. Service was quick but did not get offered any refills on my coffee and I brought up to the waitress that the ham that came with my breakfast tasted awful it had a spoiled taste and smell to it, her answer was it is cured ham its supposed to be that way? i have had cured ham before and tasted nothing like what i just had. Instead of offering something else in its place her answer was next time just order sugar ham? The menu does not say cured ham it says country ham so I do not know why her response was cured ham and unprofessional to say next time order sugar ham? very disappointed with the answer.

Love the food, service and atmosphere. We have noticed lately (we have been eating at Cracker Barrel for YEARS!) that the vegetables are not as hot (temp. wise) as they used to be. Next time, we will send them back to the kitchen to be rewarmed. I'm sure that will solve the problem.
