I love their food but I've been here 4 times and two of the times I've found foren material in my food. I should of stopped eating there after the first piece. I found a piece a metal in my food, like an inch long, 3 mm wide. Then I found a piece of wood half inch long and 2 mm wide. I love their food just wish they take better precautions when handling food.

My man's work friend bought us lunch yesterday at Island Grinds. This was our first time trying this place and it was amazing!

The cascade of flavors...I can't.

We started off with the sushi burrito then moved on to the chicken pupu (poo-poo) and chicken katsu. It's white rice, macaroni pasta salad and air-fried chicken.

The sushi burrito alone was delicious. Then you throw in the sauce for the rice-delectable! The macaroni pasta salad ups the ante. By the time you get to the chicken... Forget about it!

I am so happy we got to try this place and thankful for our friend buying us lunch.

It even makes great leftovers!

10/10 recommend 💚

I love their food. Every time I fly to Utah, I have to go and eat at Island Grinds. My faves are the pulu chicken plat, short rib plate, salt and pepper chicken and everything on their menu.

travel for work and visit SLC once a month, and I always make sure to stop by this spot. This time, I ordered the seameat mix, garlic shrimp, and lemon pepper chicken, which came with mac salad and rice. The garlic sauce was delicious, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked—it was the first thing I finished! The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Honestly, the price is a steal for the quality of food. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Best Hawaiian restaurant we've been to in Utah so far. We're from the Bay area where there are plenty of Hawaiian BBQ places, but we have to say this place had the most delicious dishes and cooked fresh and tender just how we like it. Even the macaroni salad tasted better than a few other Hawaiian restaurants nearby. The price is also better than Mo Bettahs and the other Hawaiian restaurants we went to in Utah. Lastly, the Poly music they played on their boombox was awesome ??. We’ll come here everytime we visit.

Despite receiving burnt teriyaki chicken, the service I received was great.

My friend wanted Hawaiian for lunch and it's funny cuz she's Polynesian. I suggested LoLo or Mo'bettahs and she shot both of those down and suggested Island Grinds. It was my first time. It was soooo good!! She got Katsu chicken and I got pig. The meal itself was very tasty. We went late afternoon so there wasn't a whole lot of people there. The girl at the counter was funny. She told us the soda machine was broken but we could choose a drink from the cooler. Will I go back? Oh yes! When I'm on that side of the valley. What they need to do is open one on the east side cuz then I'd be there every day! A+++
