First time at LCDT, and it was pretty good. The place was packed, which usually indicates a decent dining experience. Our server was amazing! She was funny and she was right on top of things for our large party of 8. The food, however, was, in my opinion, okay. I ordered a quesadilla with carne asada, and I couldn't cut through the tortilla with a knife - it was so tough (I think it might be deep fried). That made for an awfully chewy dinner. The meat and cheese in the quesadilla were very good. My wife's shrimp ceviche came out looking good, but also wasn't great. She says the shrimp were rather rubbery. The other dishes for our party looked unique and tasty. We may give LCDT another try; but for now, it isn't on our list of favorite Mexican diners.

La Casa del Tamal is just it!! Tacos are soft and warm and the cheese pull is amazing!! The filling is where it begins! The serving of the tacos is insane, all this juicy meat and cheese and add some onions and cilantro in!! Its amazing! I don't even like cilantro and I'm all over this taco like I haven't eaten in weeks. 10/10 with 10 stars good!

Love this place so much! I live all the way in Provo and have been here a couple of times because the food is just incredible. Everything I have tried has not disappointed one bit!

This is some of the best Mexican food in the Salt Lake City area. La Casa Del Tamal was FANTASTIC! Holy cow. There’s a reason they are always busy. We had chips, salsa, guacamole, birria tacos with consumè, cheese and chicken enchiladas, rice and beans and a margarita. Everything was 100% delicious and would order again. It’s best if you can go at an off hour so you don’t have to wait.

Our waiter ISRAEL was the biggest help by suggesting menu items, ISRAEL definitely knew what he was talking about!! Food was TASTY and ONE OF A KIND, I highly recommend the enchiladas with the mole sauce with extra avacados!
