Service at the counter was good and the wait time for my meal was fairly quick. The food was great, but I wouldn't give it fantastic. The environment was clean. I will definitely try this grill again and try a different dish.

Okay this is the 3 bad experience, i have tried to give this place an second chance. However this last time will be my last forever. The place has crazy prices. I order 4 tacos and my wife got 3 tacos 2 cokes it was 35$. That is crazy the food wasn't even good. Dry, no taste, no flavor. The customer service is horrible. They all have actitudes and no respect or any type of respect to the customers. ALSO what is that smells in there ??? The smell at the place is so bad!!! It don't smells like food in there so nasty. I am sorry but this place deserve 0 stars. I am never coming back

The service was okay - English was limited but we all understood each other. Small family run business with the kids helping out. Love it. We ordered a bunch of things - tamales, Torta, tacos. They have complimentary chips and salsa - salsas are okay but on the spicy side. I did enjoy the green avocado salsa which is a bit milder. The food was good, meats were a little cold because I think they reheat the meat on the grill but flavor was okay. I had the Torta the next day and one of the tamales and I wasn't a big fan of the after taste. Idk it was a little weird but would definitely come back again. Prices are reasonable.

When we arrived the order taker seemed to be new and fumbled many task such as: getting our basic order correct, not getting us straws for drinks, I noticed we had to ask for hot sauce because they don't have it readily available we noticed three customers after us also had to ask, at a mexican restaurant, really? The nachos were large but extremely dry and bland, the fried tacos were extremely oily and lacked flavor. They also forgot to make the chicken burrito but we were charged for it and when we reminded them it was made right away. Very rare do you find a Mexican restaurant at lacks flavor? I feel like all I was eating was tacos and nachos filled with plain rice and beans.

Can I do zero stars for tasteless dry food, dirty floors, and bad service. There is also a foul odor when you walk in. We came in on a friday night, and the place was empty. That should have been my first sign not to eat there. Anyway, I ordered two kids' meals, one chicken plate, and four tacos. The kids' meals were chicken burritos that were really dry. The kids' drinks were flat, and they would not change out their drinks unless I paid a one dollar refill charge for each drink. So I asked for a sample of their other fountain drinks, and they were all flat. The chicken plate had really dried rice and beans. The tortillas are stale and cold. The tacos lacked flavor, and I had to ask for salsa because they did not come with any. The lady behind the counter rolled her eyes at me when I asked for different flavor salsa. A child took my food order, and I had to repeat myself as she did not understand my order completely. The same child also served us. I will never visit here again. Rancheria is better, and that says a lot.

The chicken is dry, all burnt and the rice is hard from that old and tasteless rice and I don't even talk about the service I won't come

Best burrito in Utah I have eaten! This is the asada burrito. I have it with habanero salsa. The meat is great. Rice and beans are perfectly balanced. The burrito is heated on the grill afterwards for taste. Fully of flavor. I get this every time.

Amazing food. Small hole in the wall, simple dishes, quick and extremely good. Best burrito I've had in SLC

Ok, so I'll go back to Don Pollo, this small place located in a strip mall of a very busy area in West Valley City, but it will probably be for take out. The food and value alone would be a five star. Here is why.1)The food really is the star. We ordered a "Large Family Deal" which came with a whole chicken, 10 tamales, 10 pastor tacos, rice, macaroni, beans and tortillas. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the tacos were solid with plenty of meat. The tamales were a favorite of my family but I felt they were a little soggy. The sides were a little on the small side as shown in the pictures. It's hard to complain though because we had left overs and were all super full. A rarity in my household. My daughter got a bean and cheese burrito which was ok, but not worth the 9 bucks. The family deal cost 52 bucks. Solid!! 2)The location itself was clean had a good presentation. Plenty of seats, but most people did take out so we were the only ones there eating.3)As mentioned in other reviews, the extra surcharge for credit card purchases was pretty lame, especially when they did not have a sign anywhere indicating that. I was expecting it, so I just grumbled and moved on.4)The service was mediocre and not very friendly. This was a consistent theme and I feel that this really shows based on their unique policies. They charged 2.79 on a 64 dollar bill. I calculated that to be around 4.3 percent. Without having any signage to indicate so, it seemed pretty lame. They also don't have drink refills, which is not the end of the world, but seemed weird. They forgot a side and tortillas with our order. When I mentioned it, it felt like I was robbing them and they handed it over reluctantly. We asked for extra salsa and they stated there was a charge. I really want to make this more than 3 stars, but I find it hard based on the total factors. Next time, I think I will do take out and also pay cash.

I ordered from Don Pollo via DoorDash for delivery. One of the fastest meals I have ever received! You can see the generous portions as pictured! I couldn't eat it all, so I still have plenty of food left to eat for tomorrow. Everything was still nice and hot when I received it. The chicken was flavorful and moist! The salad was was crisp and fresh and the beans were tasty. The corn tortillas and churro were both still warm and pretty much what you expect from any Mexican restaurant. Really a bang for your buck in my opinion. I ordered of half chicken meal with Mexican salad and beans as my side (rice and pasta were the other side choices) and it came with 4 corn tortillas. And I ordered a churro for dessert!I was somewhat hesitant to order because of all the negative reviews, but I am glad I did!
