We used to live in Japan and this was the closest we’ve been able to find to good Japanese food in Utah. So delicious!

So I put in a Togo order for 4 bowls of ramen. I paid for the order and then after the casher turned the iPad around for a tip. I figured why not so I put a $1 tip. But when I got home and looked at the receipt I noticed that there was a 18% gratuity charge and a $2 Togo charge. I'm dumbfounded as to what could possibly be the reason for these additional charges. Don't trust the 5 star reviews. They don't deserve the ratings, there's a sign at the register to leave a 5 star review for 15% off your order.

This was an excellent experience. Good ramen and a nice environment. Service was courteous and prompt.

Good amount of food for price, nothing special but broth and meat were solid. Veggies had been pre-cut, portioned, and were sitting in a bowl for a while so tasted a bit stale. They use some kind of automatic stove that would put your pot into a roaring boil before simmering down, and then repeating that cycle every minute or so - I vastly prefer to control the heat myself. Also, note their largest table is a 4-top so our party of 5 was seated at the bar, where the stoves are weirdly far away from where you’re sitting. I would come back if I was close by and wanted food but wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

I came here a bit after 8pm on a slow Tuesday and really enjoyed my dinner here! I ordered the lamb (regular, 6 oz) with tonkotsu broth. This place definitely compares to the hotpot restaurants back home in SoCal. The quality and quantity of food you get for the price you pay is insane. The veggies and meat were super fresh. Both rice and udon were included in the meal (I love carbs!!!). They were not stingy at all with the dipping sauces and condiments. Service was superb (granted, I was the only one dining there that night). On that note though, huge props to this place for letting me stay 30 mins past closing to finish my meal (I eat slow). They did not rush me at all throughout my meal, and I actually had the most wholesome conversation with one of the owners, Kevin. He is so friendly and passionate about good food, and I am grateful to have met him and had a taste of home while in Utah. I recommend this place wholeheartedly and cannot wait until my next visit.

The good: Great service, concept and food. All the food looked fresh. The family loved cooking their meal. The bad: the place smells like a nail salon, it is very bad, and will give you a headache or get you high. The prices are high and don't match the overall experience. Location is somewhat difficult.

They forgot the noodles. The food was good but I think I got the clean up crew. I arrived 1 hour before closing it seemed like they are under staffed but the server did not seem like they were very busy like they did not really know that they were doing. My suspensions were confirmed when it took them 30 minutes to bring me my food , you may think that is responsible but you cook the food on a hot plate they just bring out the ingredients!!!! Witch is pretty cool. Also did I mention the server did not speak English very well witch is a when you are at a novel restaurant like this one and it is unclear how to make the food and the waiter can't explain it to you because he doesn't speak English very well. Any way were was I, oh yes the noodles, after getting the food and started it cooking I realized the meal was supposed the come with noodles you know one of the biggest parts of the meal. Then after they forgot the noodles I thought they might have forgotten something else so looking at other people's tables I realized they also forgot the extra flavorings that you add to the soup. After figuring out what the server was supposed to do myself I went to the bathroom and they were using the bathroom as storage for cleaning supplies this may or may not be bad in it self but it is low class for an establishment this expensive.

I don't normally leave reviews for restaurants but this place was so good I just had to! The food was amazing and so was the service, just perfect. There's a strong fish smell though but that didn't bother me too long after a while

Had a lot of fun, the broth was delicious and the setup for each person to have a personal pot is really cool. The broth additions and dipping sauces were great! I wish they had more veggie options but that’s the only thing I’d change.

The chef was giving us bad looks and made me a big bowl of broth with noodles and an egg at the bottom. There was employees sitting at a table playing loud music over the restaurant's music and I felt very unwelcomed. The waitress did the bare minimum. I usually am more positive but it was a genuinely bad experience. I'd highly advise against going.

The Shabu was delicious and the raw ingredients (beef, salmon, etc.) was very fresh. The A5 wagyu was super tender and fabulous! We enjoyed it a lot!

Whether you're going to have Raman next door or you're going to go have a delicious hot pot experience with a beautiful date both establishments are worth checking out and are stellar experiences. I'd recommend popping your head in and kind of looking at your options and going with your instinct but I feel like cooking. Definitely try the hot pot experience.
