The live music - Joey's Van was fantastic! Everything else about this place was awful. Half the menu was scribbled out in sharpie. My husband got a sandwich and it was not great. The Mac n cheese was way too spicy for the 5 y/o with us. The bar was a disaster. Bottles of alcohol all over, looked terrible. I don't know how they could have found anything. There was a row of taps but cans of beer just sitting in a row in front of them to choose from. I was hoping at least they'd have some local options, but it was just Coors, Miller, Budweiser. Very disappointing.... The bartender was not very friendly, It wasn't that busy and she was acting annoyed anytime we needed anything. I'd come back for the live music but I wouldn't get in anything. Also none of the bathrooms had mirrors in them 🤔🤷

4 for ‘ potential’. Def needs some fine tuning overall.
We were HUGE fans of Bonfire Smokehouse; actually ‘ discovered’ Abingdon because of it . Last year we tried Delta Blues in Bristol because BoneFire had been sold and was being remodeled. Delta was very very good and has now opened around the corner from BRISKET n BOURBON.
I sure hope mgt can get the new menu up and running with CONSISTENT quality, service and cleanliness.
The history of the building and good food will definitely have us try them again.
Pulled pork and brisket; sides were all good and flavorful. Sauces are great.
It wasn’t at all busy when we dined ; service was spotty - table could’ve been cleaner.
Sure hope they make it.

Went there Saturday July 12th for dinner and listened to Zach Pyle, I had the BBQ Pork Sandwich with cheese/onion straws with cole slaw, it was excellent with outstanding service, great place with great vibes. A new outdoor Tiki Bar is a must if you like to sit outside & drink a nice ice cold drink, sometimes they have music out there if weather permitting on weekends.

Wouldn’t even give it one star.
Waiting over 40 minutes for this mess. Canned cheese, excessive fat/no meat, and beans that were crusty. Oh! The best part. The manager said I don’t like the look of those but did nothing to fix them.

At this point they should be sued for false advertising because their pictures on their website doesn’t even come close to what we were served.

This was not worth the money spent.

Everything was good except for the cornbread (very unpleasant and dense texture). Pulled pork, sauces, slaw, mac and cheese, fries and burger were all good. There were a lot of things crossed of their menu which is too bad.

Food was okay, perfectly edible but not great. Seemed to lack the basics. Food was served room temperature (far from warm) and seemed to have been sitting out as most everything was dried out. Macaroni and cheese was made with cavatapi pasta (my personal fav, so bonus points there) but was bland, like the pasta was boiled in unsalted water. The cornbread was very thin and dense, literally like a dish sponge. Good menu selection and variety, loved all the bbq sauce options. Service was fine, not exceptional, just didn't seem to be familiar with the menu. This place has potential to be great, but isn't quite there yet.

Food was perfect, they clearly just opened and just need a little time to figure out some stuff. Give them a chance! Cool deck outside and tiki bar

Where to even begin?
I’m currently in the process of getting my socks blown off for the SECOND time by this incredible establishment. I had to write this review immediately before there was a chance I could forget. It’s rare that a place impresses me this much once…let alone twice!
The BBQ was incredible. The ribs? Fall of the bone. The brisket, melt in your mouth. The sides, perfect. The restaurant is beautiful and aesthetic.
And what brought it all home was incredible staff that make you feel GENUINELY appreciated for your presence.
Abingdon is so lucky to have this place.

Worst food that I have had. Way over priced!
Burnt ends were horrible. The corn bread was cold, and when I asked for vinegar for the collard greens, the bartender totally ignored my request, and I swear they were so spicythat they burnt the back of my throat. .I will not eat here again.

We arrived when it was not very busy. The staff took very good care of us. Having not been the before, we were able to gather insights to aid us in our selection. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend sitting along the street with the windows slid open!!!

Building and atmosphere was really cool. Bbq was horrible and I'm from Florida. Brisket was like rubber with no taste. Pulled pork was as dry as hay, obviously it had been reheated a few times before. Burnt ends were good but fatty. Both sides were good. There is obviously a huge disconnect in their bbq game.

I'm going to echo my wife on this one — out of the many places that we've had in our adventures around Abingdon, this one really stood out. We chose it on a whim for dinner and it immediately changed the dynamic. We had a rather disappointing experience with another restaurant for lunch, but the staff and the food here was the clear opposite.

I also had the brisket plate and it was absolutely phenomenal. Melts in your mouth tender and flavor was spot on. Not sure what changed from some of the reviews from a month ago, but don't let them deter you - it's DEFINITELY worth the try! Personally thought it was better than the bigger name right around the corner, for sure!

Thank you for the wonderful service and night-changing grub. We'll be back in short order!
