“Perfect place to go when you're craving Greek food. Wife got the Greek nachos and they were great. I enjoyed a lamb pita loading with lots of meat. Make sure you get some baklava...it's awesome.”
“Went to Abingdon for a weekend of hiking and stopped by for dinner at the restaurant. It was a wonderful evening and made special by the dinner and staff of the restaurant. We had some nice mixed drinks; I would recommend the bloody mary. The food was quite good. I had the salmon - a nice mix of spices make it different (in a nice way) from what you might get at other places. We also had a cuban sandwich that was slightly crispy on the outside with nice flavor inside. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive without being obtrusive. Prices were quite reasonable. All in all, made for a wonderful evening, thanks.”
“Had an excellent family meal here. Ezra was our waiter and he had the perfect balance of attentive service, without being ever present. The Tavern itself is historic and reminded us of old English Pubs we visited abroad. You could feel the history as you ate. I had the stuffed Filet, and it was excellent as was my families meals. One downside was the only starch available was a sweet potato, unusual in my opinion. Will definitely return, but may bring my own baked potato.”
“We came in to town to watch a play and ride bikes on the creeper. We had a wonderful lunch at Mama Mia’s! We are very picky, so I don’t say that lightly. The pizza, salad, & bread sticks were so good, perfect crust! The owner and the waitress checked on us several times to make sure we were good. The food & the service was top notch!”
“Thank you guys so much for accommodating our group of 22 ladies today for lunch before we headed off to The Barter!I booked our reservation there several weeks ago and was so well pleased with the customer service I received over the phone!Today’s lunch experience was an absolute pleasure…complete with great service…fantastic food…and a very welcoming atmosphere!Your manager was a delight!I greatly appreciate the hospitality!Bobbie Ray07~08~2023”
“Locally recommended and we stopped in for breakfast. The biscuits and gravy was very good and we got a side of sausage and added another side because the sausage was so country fresh and yummy. The coffee with cinnamon coconut oil, butter and agave was delish and not sweet (perfect). Then we tried one of their juices and it was so yummy. We got a second one to go. The second one was purple and it is scrumptious. Def will return.”
“An honest to goodness American diner. American/country food at it's very, very best. Be sure to try the Philly Cheesesteak with all the fixins and the best Fish and Chips I've had yet.”
“I've probably only been to a couple sports bars in my life, so am not an expert on the genre. There were about 20 TVs, but we couldn't hear them, which was great. The music they were playing was excellent, and we'd much rather hear that. There were country-looking guys at the bar and older folks at tables. Our waiter, a very solicitous guy, was training a young woman, and that made the operation seem good. At one point, some smoke came in from outside - we were close to the door -- and the door made a loud ding every time it opened, regardless of whether folks were coming or going, which got annoying, as it was a busy time of the evening. The food was OK, better than expected. I got the southwestern chicken salad, nice and filling, and they were able to accommodate my request to keep a couple of ingredients off the salad. All in all, it was what we needed.”
“So fun :) Really, really fast service. Food was hot and fresh. It is fast food, but if want a burger and fries...this is what you want. The building was so cute and clean.”
“This is the BEST place to get THE BEST CHEESESTEAK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY MAKE THE BEST FOOD!!! We always get ours with extra meat an cheese, but every time I've ask for ketchup an extra ketchup, I get none, so I think that's weird lol, but it's all good cuz I ran up the street to dollar general an got me a bottle of ketchup to keep on me when we do get our cheesesteaks lol”
“Had reservations at 6:00 and this restaurant doesn't open till 5:00. This restaurant's menu did not even show several of it's food items that was listed on it's website menu. Also, when we started our order, the food we wanted was sold out! We didn't understand that at all! Already sold out after an hour of being open. That was very disappointing!! Also, we thought it was very interesting that they charged each one in our party of 7 an extra $1.25 for the bread and the extra bread that we asked for. Food was good and the service was okay but wouldn't recommend this restaurant! Not great parking either!!”
“The Atmosphere is gorgeous and wonderfully quirky, with a variety of normal and abnormal scenery, whether it’s the Deck of cards at all the tables or the picture of an alien in swimwear the entire place oozes charm like nowhere else. The coffee is perfectly stout like a deck in the face, and the chocolate syrup makes the drinks richer than my Ex wife, definitely recommend.”
“We stopped in for a quick sandwich to take with us and ended up getting three sandwiches in an order of fries. All the food was delicious and still warm after we drove about 10 mi. The fries were great. I didn't take any pictures but maybe next time.Vegetarian options: My daughter says that her favorite thing is the vegetarian sandwich. And she's had several other kind.”
“My husband and I were on a 2 day road trip from Pennsylvania to Savannah GA. We stopped for the night at a hotel across the street from Puerto Nuevo in Abingdon, VA. The restaurant exceeded all of our expectations! The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, the ambiance was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.”

“Nice vibe, great service and food - what more can I ask for? It's the perfect breakfast place. We visited on Halloween morning and the Cowardly Lion greeted us. The food consists of staples but everything was good and the price was very fair. I especially loved the wide selection of coffees.I went with bacon and eggs (of course) with cheesy grits. I'd totally go back.”
