“Eating at The Tavern is quite an experience because when you step into the restaurant you step into history. The building that The Tavern calls home was built in 1779! It has hosted some famous folks in it's past, including King of France, Louis Philippe, and our own President Andrew Jackson. Today, Max Hermann, runs around making certain that all is well with guests and employees alike. The food is quite good (try the crab cakes and stuffed filet mignon), and the service is excellent. Ask for Ezra, he will take care of you. Sit in this historic building, enjoy great food, sip good wine, and enjoy a beautiful evening.“

“Ive came here twice now and I love it the options on the bar are plentiful although I tend to stick to their chicken fritters and Mac and cheese (they are just sooo good) the staff are always really nice to me and make sure I have drinks refilled and all that I need. I tried their blackberry cobbler and it’s the first time I’ve gotten that at a restaurant and actually liked it I’m normally a homemade cobbler kind of guy. Highly recommend this place!“
