Delta Blues BBQ - Abingdon

I'm visiting on business about 1 hour away in Greeneville, Tennessee and decided to drive to Abingdon, Virginia since I had never been to Virginia and this would be my 47th state visited. I came across Delta Blues BBQ and decided to have lunch there. I'm glad I did. I felt very welcomed by the young lady at the register. And I asked for a suggestion and she stated she personally enjoyed the pulled chicken sandwich, which I had. It was the best sandwich I have ever had from all the states I had been to. You get to choose and serve your desired sauce at the Sauce Bar. The environment was great. Lots to look at on the walls and ceiling. If you're ever nearby or in town, I highly recommend Delta Blues BBQ. There's lots to choose from on the menu. I witnessed lots of other 'first-timers' being sincerely welcomed by the wonderful staff. --Enrique

Two floor restaurant with live bands playing upstairs. Downstairs is the sit down restaurant. Fried okra was fantastic. Loved the fry corn and collards. Fries were yummy. Ribs were tender. Burnt ends weren't as burnt as expected. Brisket was dry and flavorless, not even with salt. But I guess that's why they have the BBQ sauce bar area. Other tables were dipping their meats.

WOW!! I’ve eaten at quite a few bbq spots but none of them even compare to this one! Everything was hot and fresh, my pulled pork was so tender it was falling apart! Amazing atmosphere and the staff was so polite and friendly! Will definitely be back!

I have been here many times and at first the portions were good but every time I go and they are busy the portions are less and less especially on appetizers and orders of fries. I don’t want extra but I definitely want what I pay for.

Really crowded but food was fast and delicious. Plus asylum suite was playing and they are a killer band. Waitress did an amazing job taking care of our needs her name was Shelby she da bomb

Really good pork with a nice Memphis sauce. Came for lunch but would come back to catch some live blues music. Cool atmosphere
