Peppermill suffers in comparison to a similar landmark restaurant. The French onion soup was good; the chicken, bacon and cheese quesadilla did not have all ingredients spread throughout so one slice just had a few chicken pieces in it. Server didn't even offer drinks. (We could have asked, I know.) The next evening we went to a different Abingdon restaurant and had a fabulous meal and a great time. We know which one we'll choose when we return to the area for more trail bicycling.

Service was slow. There were very few customers as it was well after lunchtime.
Wheelchair accessibility: There was one handicapped spot and a car was parked there (with no handicapped sticker or license) partially blocking the sidewalk accessibility. I reported this to one of the restaurant employees. No one had moved the car by the time we finished our meal. Again, making it difficult to maneuver the wheelchair thru the tight sidewalk access.
