My husband and I visited last week from the Atlanta area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Inn. Our dining experience was stellar. The staff was always warm and friendly and greeted us each time we arrived. Our server for breakfasts and a very nice dinner was a sweet, feisty lady named Stacey. She was outstanding. She was very attentive and energetic. I have celiac so I needed safe, gluten free options. She was knowledgeable of their menu and how things were prepared so she could help me make choices. We really enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere… looking forward to visiting again.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free for celiacKid-friendliness: Our 12 year old tried new foods because he said it looked fancy. He enjoyed everything he had.

We found this place accidentally. Walking in, coming off the road after a long day of driving, we were very underdressed! The staff was very friendly & accommodating. The food was fantastic & reasonably priced. Highly recommend the house burger! We will be back!

Sarah our server was so accommodating. We had a 12 year old at our table, it was his birthday. Sarah made sure it was a special dining experience for him and the rest of the party! The entire staff, Susanne the bartender, Willie the pastry chef, and the Head Chef made for the best evening! Lasting memories indeed! The Qs

We ate here two nights w/ $50 voucher, hence the high value rating. Everything was quite good and drinks were fairly priced, but I must give special mention to the burgers. The cheeseburger w/ bacon jam was one of the top five burgers I've ever eaten anywhere. The grind of the beef was perfect. The steak fries outstanding. The bacon ham itself was like a magic ingredient. Sisters is everything you would want in a hotel restaurant, a place where you can spend a little or a lot and be very satisfied.

The food was delicious and the restaurant is very nice. It was a pretty full room so the service was slower than we had expected but that may be just the result of too many folks and not enough servers. This is happening everywhere! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Having dinner at the Sister's Grill inside the Martha Washington Inn IS ALWAYS a Joy My Wife and I have eaten there a number of times over the years. Both had the Salmon, it was okay. The treat is just getting to visit the Town of Abington and eating at the Martha. If you have not been to Abington, nor gone inside the Martha Washington Inn you should place it on your list. If you are within a 100 miles of the location GO.

Very nice selection to choose from the menu. Food and quality was spot on. Our waitress was efficient and made sure we were enjoying our dinner. Great spot for dinner after seeing a show at the Barter Theatre.

The restaurant was beautiful and festive. But the quality of my entree was not good. My NY Strip was tough and not edible. We were short on time or I would have requested a new meal. I really want this restaurant to be exceptional as the Inn is. Perhaps in time the new chef can bring this restaurant up to the level of their competition in the town.

The hotel and restaurant are beautiful and provide an elegant place to stay and to dine. The restaurant is nestled in an 1800's historial hotel and the decor depicts the era. The service was wonderful. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with our meal, which we did not finish during the meal; however, we were allowed to take it into the bar area and finish it in front of a roaring fire. It provided for a wonderful evening. I ordered the only steak on the menu (a NY strip). It was prepared well, but was rather gristle filled and chewy. My husband ordered the cornish hen and quite enjoyed it. We both have food allergies and the waitress was happy to accomodate substitutions without an additional charge. The only thing that truly disappointed was the restroom in the bar area. They do not have separate accommodations for men and women and the floor around the toilet was truly disgusting to the point of my shoes sticking to the floor. I was so glad that I used the facility at the end of our visit - otherwise, it would have ruined my meal. I have to say that the restroom condition made me question the cleanliness of other aspects of the restaurant, although it otherwise appeared very clean.

A restaurant in an absolutely beautiful.old building, the Martha Hotel. It's reaply more restaurant than grill, so if you make dinner reservations, bring something a step up from jeans to wear. The restaurant suggests business casual. The interior of the restaurant has panneled wood and traditional furniture, all very Old Virginia. There's a good looking small bar area too. We were seated by a fireplace. The food was ok, not great, My husband's Shepherd's Pie with sweet potato topping was just a weird taste combo with the sweet potatoes being too sweet for a savory dish, but the lamb was good in it and plentiful. My Cornish Game hen with wild rice was the smallest Cornish game hen I've ever seen. It needed a quick marinade in something acidic before grilling. The wild rice side didn't contain much wild rice and had little flavor. It was like banquet dinner food. Our wine was good and the baked goods were exceptional. The cheese biscuits & the apple cake with vanilla ice cream were real treats & perfect examples of their types. Our waitress was sweet but very overworked. We ordered about 15 minutes after we sat down and got our dinner 45 minutes after being seated. She did bring us our wine & bread so we were ok with the very leasurly pace. It was as a busy Saturday night. I wonder if the teaspoon has gone extinct? We were brought larger dinner spoons with our dessert. (This seems to happen at most restaurants now.) I questioned the waitress and she said they have five types of spoons, but she was in a hurry, thus the larger spoons. Why aren't they stocking the different spoons in wait stations & teaching the servers to use them? This is a great place for dinner if you don't set your food expectations too high because of the beautiful old hotel it's in. Arrive early & have a drink on the big porch or walk around & look at the beautiful public rooms. Then order the safest thing on the menu & some yummy apple cake for dessert.

Service was excellent as always. Aviance was good except it was so dark I could not see to cut my food. Very nice quite atmosphere. The food was very flavorful but my steak was a little tough and the vegetables were a little on the overdone side in my opinion. I would definitely recommend coming here.

We finally tried this restaurant after hearing there was a new chef and the food was much improved. It was excellent! The cheese puff appetizers were melt in your mouth delicious. I had a seafood pasta special that was also great. We were very pleasantly surprised!

My husband and I spent the weekend at the Martha for my birthday. We had breakfast twice and dinner once there. Breakfast was plated each morning and full of variety. Dinner was from the menu--Shrimp Tempura for my husband and Cauliflower Au Gratin for me. The food was delicious! Our servers were very attentive. We recommend Sisters! We will go again.

Loved our dinner at Sisters. We are in the bar which was very cozy and quiet. We loved our server - she was funny, knowledgeable and engaging. The food was high quality, portioned well and interesting. If you are looking for a quiet evening this is the perfect place.
