We met George and Traylin at the Flying Fox today on our trip to Wintergreen from VirginiaBeach. They are so much fum and very dedicated to the customer. What a beautiful tasting room and the surrounding interior was so welcoming. It's a must go to when you are looking for an abundance of great wines and great owners.

Honestly………. The servers here are racist. I thought I’d have half-way decent luck getting served here but they took one look at my complexion ? I guess business means nothing to them.

Small and intimate tasting room with dark-academia decor. Delicious wines

I really wanted to love this place, but it was taken over by families with wholly unsupervised children who screamed continuously and climbed over all the furniture. We could hardly have an uninterrupted thought, much less a conversation. Difficult to enjoy the wine in a daycare

Kathleen and Grace were wonderful hosts. Grace was new and still knowledgeable enough to assist. Kathleen was incredible in every aspect. The wines were good, but the vermouths were stellar. We left with 2 bottles of the vermouth, and were happy to learn that they ship as well.

Excellent selection of delectable whites, reds, and rose wines and vermouths. Terrific staff that helped introduce us to their selections. DEFINITELY will return!

Stopped in for a flight of wine after seeing photos of the mural online. The interior has such a cozy feeling, while also giving the luxe feeling of being in a home's study of a by-gone era. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. I told him what my preferences were and he was able to expertly pick which drink I'd like best from my flight. I took home a bottle of his recommendation because he was right - it was really good.

My fiancé and I were vacationing to Shenandoah and decided to visit some of the local wineries (fun fact, Virginia is the birthplace of American wine!).
I was nervous that I wouldn't like any of the selections, because I personally enjoy sweet wines, and their menu consisted of primarily dries. I ended up trying the vermouth flight board and was pleasantly surprised at how aromatic and flavorful the choices were... I ended up loving them! The four vermouth choices were based on seasons, and each one tasted so memorable. Their fruit and herb choices for each glass reflected each season PERFECTLY. How creative and tasty. My fiancé got the regular flight and IMMENSELY enjoyed his tastings as well. If we're ever in the area, this place is on our list of wineries to visit again.

Really knowledgeable staff and delicious wine! We ended up buying the fantastic Cabernet Franc they have. The tasting room is really cozy and the outdoor seating provided an excellent view of the mountains. This is a perfect place to stop by on your wine tour. They have a really good flight selection with plenty of wine for 2 people.

May 2024-This winery is not the most beautiful of the wineries in the area and does not have a view but the staff member was very friendly and I really liked the Petite Manseng. Their wines tend to be on the dry side. I would recommend visiting here.

We had such a wonderful experience. We got here early on a Friday and had the place pretty much to ourselves. Cooper did our tasting and he honestly couldn’t have been more of a delight. He was so knowledgeable on all of their wine and vermouth, and we felt fully immersed. We can’t wait to travel to Charlottesville again and make another visit here. Hopefully Cooper will still be behind the bar!
