“In the area from Michigan for a scent detection competition with my dogs and passed this little place. I was ready for lunch so I stopped in. Wow. Seriously. Best pulled pork and banana pudding I think I've ever had. The service was great- the owner walked me through the menu and recommendations. My sides, potato salad and baked beans, were also excellent. It's a grab and go kind of place, the atmosphere is what you'd expect from a roadside spot. But wow, excellent food. I'll be thinking about that banana pudding for a long time. Highly recommend.”

“What a unique spot! Great coffee and matcha... I ordered an Americano with hazelnut syrup, while my husband ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and vanilla syrup. Both were delicious! The Americano wasn't over-roasted or bitter. Prices were very impressive too. I also ordered a bag of the Love Blend to take home. Service was good. There were two women working the busy shop. Ambience was straightforward. No inside seating, but plenty outdoors. Wish they had some grab-and-go foods, especially since there aren't many coffee shops out here. But nonetheless, I highly recommend!”

“This is a great brewery! The beer is awesome, the food is wonderful, the property is great, and the service is top notch! I love hanging out by the river. There is always live music, fire pits for cold days, and plenty of activities for kids!”

“Nice views and good scenery. The wine was good, the outdoor covered seating area was nice. Unfortunately there was a lot of dog hair on all of the outdoor seating which isn't a slight on the facility people just need to be more considerate.”

First off, when you walk in and see the imported from Italy double zero flour and the amazing ornate wood fired stove, you immediately know you’re in good hands. The feta and spinach pastry is freaking delicious!!! I would walk there uphill just to burn enough calories to eat this every single day! The agrodolce pizza is a beautiful combination of flavors that give your taste buds that kind of delight that makes you want to just sit and hold a bite in your mouth for a second. The meatballs were excellent which coming from me (I make my own from scratch from a long standing family recipe) is a giant compliment! Do yourself a favor and carb up at this fine establishment. It’s worth it! They deserve a standing ovation for the food they’re creating.”

“For an east coast girl who lives out west, these cheesesteak subs are like manna from heaven! Amazing flavor, lots of meat and grilled vegetables and cheese and a PERFECT soft roll make this my go-to spot every time I visit.My husband got a meatball sub during this visit and I, of course, had a bite and it was so good. The meatballs had a good flavor and texture. This is also highly recommended.”

“We LOVE Bar Botanical! Worth the short drive from Charlottesville and the longer drive from Palmyra. Cutest decor with a lovely rooftop deck with mountain views. The food is awesome. More of "pub food" than its sister location in C'ville. The gochu sliders, loaded hash browns, and wonton nachos are favorites. They've recently started serving pizza and we were blown away by that too. It's all vegan but don't be scared off by that -- I swear it's as good or better than the food you're used to. ;) It's seat yourself, grab your own water, casual type of vibe. But they also have attentive and friendly staff.”

“I have been to Seven Arrows multiple times over the past few years. We moved to the valley 2 years ago. The beer and food are great. But even better - the staff and facility are wonderful. I am a JMU alum and several times we have wanted a place to watch a game on the big screen while enjoying food and drinks. The staff have gone out of their way to accommodate us. We love this place! Friendly and fun - I highly recommend it.”

“Stopped by on our way back to Richmond from Stuarts Draft. Pretty quick detour from the highway. Food was very good, we loved the Tom yum soup, the butternut squash and green curry as well as the kao soi. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about what goes into their dishes, which is great when you have food intolerances and want to feel confident your order will be something you can enjoy. If you’re passing by, definitely check it out. Yum ?.”

The homemade peanut butter pie on this visit was particularly good!Parking: There are ample parking spaces out front unless you arrive at lunchtime, still not a terribly long walk.”

“The steak huaraches are delicious. So much food. Ask for the green sauce. I love spicy foods but the red one was too much for me. The green is perfect heat. Expect to wait, especially at lunch time, but it’s worth it! We think to stop at his truck any time we go over the mountain.”
