This was one of my favorite places I've visited. I felt like a queen the entire time. The food, wine, staff, owners and views were outstanding. Everything we ate or drank was better than any of our expectations.

We have dined at the Farmhouse lots of times but this particular night was exceptional - from the service to the menu choices - a perfect evening. Thank you, Chef and all of the staff at the Farmhouse at Veritas for making that happen for us.
This was a great, unique experience that maximized the rustic and intimate setting. We loved that the menu rotates and is unique week-to-week, and that we had the opportunity to discuss the meal with the chef directly. Service was friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend!
We had a five-night stay in the barn cottage and dined at the restaurant one evening.Everything about the experience was exceptional: the accommodations, the service, the food....nothing could be improved upon. Breakfast each morning was such a treat; the staff was wonderful; and the grounds are idyllic. Highly recommend riding horses there too with Indian Summer Guide Service. We can't wait to return and do it all again!

We celebrated my husband's 65th birthday at the Farmhouse at Veritas, and they went out of their way to make it special. Everything was exceptional: the food, wine pairings, and service were all top notch.
Such a lovely venue at The Farmhouse. Before dinner wine tasting in the Library, sitting in the formal dining room (seating for 10) with a four course wine pairing dinner. The presentation was inviting with a small explanation of each wine by the knowledgeable staff. Everyone exclaimed about each course experience. We will definitely return soon.
WOW! This 4-course menu, wine pairing dinner was absolutely amazing! We were celebrating our 15th anniversary, so I was looking for a nice dinner option for the occasion, and this dinner exceeded our expectations! The ambiance of the farmhouse, the level of service, the quality of the food were all among the best that we have experienced; this is easily in our top 3 most memorable dining experiences.
Recently my wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at The Farmhouse at Veritas, our first visit to this marvelous locale, and we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the farmhouse and surrounding vineyards, the superlative quality of the food, the elegance and comfort of our room, and the friendly, responsive, professional service. As for its food alone, The Farmhouse leapt to Number 1 on our list of best places to eat in Virginia. We will take our peaceful morning walk among the vineyards with us as we patiently await our next visit to The Farmhouse!

Booked for an anniversary dinner. The ambiance was great. The layout of spaced tables in different rooms gave the sense of an almost private dinner. The food was superb. Highly recommend!!!
We celebrated an anniversary this weekend with dinner at The Farmhouse and the whole experience was exceptional. We have several allergies, between everyone in the family and the chefs were able to accommodate us all. We made our reservations a few weeks in advance and the staff was prompt and thorough in answering all our questions. We knew exactly what to expect and felt very comfortable with the reservations process. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately and had a relaxing moment to settle into the ambiance of the peaceful countryside with a glass of bubbly while we sat in rockers on the front porch. We felt like special guests from that moment through the rest of the night. The service and food exceeded our expectations. Alex and all the servers were attentive, but not intrusive. The food and wine pairings were deliciously amazing. We couldn’t have enjoyed our fine dining experience more! The Farmhouse was a perfect venue for our family’s celebration. Thank you!
Food & drinks: Super delicious! The wines were very good and complimented the food well. The chefs were very conscientious and accommodating of our food allergies.

Gorgeous property. Attentive service. Breakfast was amazing. Room was very large (Cornwell suite) with a walk in closet and a little nook with chairs for reading. Dinner + wine pairing was excellent - especially enjoyed the explanations of each wine.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. And it has so much potential. The food was mediocre. The first dish was mussels in a broth. The dish was served at room temperature and lacked flavor. The mussels had to obviously been cooked and sitting. The menu said it would be served with focaccia and not until another diner asked we were brought a piece of bread that was not focaccia to dip into the now cold broth. The next dish was a salad. Luckily that was intended to be cold. It completely lacked flavor. We were brought an extra glass of sparkling white wine to make up for the bread issue. But we sat so long waiting for the entree-beef tenderloin and vegetables-that all our glasses were completely empty. No wine and little water was left. The servers never checked in on our room or offered refills during the lengthy waits between courses. The beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly to temperature but again it was cold and so were the vegetables on the dish. The dessert was an almond cake with peaches. The peaches were unripe and hard and honestly inedible. Grilling or doing something to the peaches would have made it acceptable. This meal was not worth $120/pp I paid. Honestly not one person in service cared at the poor quality food or service provided. Any meal at a fast food place would far exceed the dinner we had at Farmhouse. I feel ripped off for going and duped by all the positive reviews.
We love this place for the ambiance and a chance for an elegant dinner well prepared and served. Food can be uneven and in this case was overall merely good-not distinct as one would hope. Mussels were dry despite being accompanied by a good broth. Salad was missing much “kick” despite set of intriguing ingredients. Main course of beef was done well. Wines are quite good and well matched to courses.
