DO NOT book a wedding or event here! The communication is horrible. Our representative that we were working with left, we were not notified. It took several attempts to have the new representative answer our emails. When our issue was elevated to upper management we received NO follow up email even after emailing twice.

Our experience today was disappointing. We drove 2 hours for my Mom’s birthday and had sub-par service, non-engaging and when we asked to offer take out at 4:31 we were told the kitchen was closed, no discussion with management about 1 minute over the time and Heidi never asked if we wanted anything else. We moved tables while a storm came in, a server picked up our flight and broke all of it. Upon not cleaning most of the glass up, two dogs came over and we tried to keep them out of the glass. Heidi was agitated that we asked it be cleaned up, minimal effort and pissed at us. So we told the young man who came out and he said you have no idea how much glass is all over this patio and the deck below. With no remorse or care that it could cause harm to anyone, he was clearly pissed to be asked to clean up glass. Really? So I went.inside and asked to talk to a manager after being disrespectful by two employees, and out comes the guy who was already angry with us. When I knew he was the manager, I said nevermind and walked away, he laughed and his staff heard it. The disrespect was awful. And knowing it was my mother’s birthday Heidi came up and announced the bill, was that necessary? Shame on the service today- sub-par at best. Sad. 😔 Won’t be coming back.

A beautiful setting to drink lovely wine. Surprisingly our favorite was the Chardonnay, we don't normally like Chard. The Petite Manseng was delicious too. Cab Franc was very good too. Oh, you can't go wrong here choosing any wine.

Generous pours. Great wine. Dylan, our server, was excellent. Because of her, i bought a bottle of wine. She was kind, attentive, friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Veritas also was wonderful about providing water.

Visited quite a number of wineries but Veritas definitely exceeded meet expectations. The ambiance was awesome and the red wines were chefs kiss!!!

Oh my how the mighty have fallen! Have being coming since 2010 and was a club member u til 2016 when I moved away. The reds were barely drinkable except the 2022 Petit Verdot. I’m guessing the original owners have passed away or sold. Might want to ditch the ham sandwich and focus in the quality of the wine. You are after all a winery not a deli.
I really used to love Veritas Vineyards and Winery. I have been a wine club member for a while now and have always enjoyed visiting. My sister has also been a member for many years and even had an event there. Unfortunately the wine club is not customizable, you can't do anything online if you want to make a change, and the wine club manager doesn't ever call you back. Why on earth is there only one person who can help you with the wine club? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
So after making great efforts to purchase wine (which is sort of the point of operating a vineyard, isn't it?), I have moved on. I haven't had this experience anywhere else, in Virginia or otherwise. Reading many of the Google, Yelp, and Trip Advisor reviews of late, it sounds as though the service at Veritas has gotten very poor in recent years and is probably not worth a trip back.
I don't expect this review to illicit any kind of a response from management since outgoing calls seem to not be working.

Nice place but the food is awful and it's served with a pretty big attitude. The woman taking orders made it seem like she was doing customers a huge favor, and rolled her eyes if you didn't give at least a 22% tip for handing you a glass of wine. Definitely not returning just to get served nasty food by a grumpy employee.
