we love The charming ambiance and inventive cuisine at the Black Market! We planned to stop in on Friday, September 19, but it suddenly was “temporarily closed.” Thought we saw something online that said until Oct 15. But, Then September 26, an acquaintance reported seeing a “for lease” sign. Wish we knew more… Missing this fine dining option in Aldie!

We were going to be in the area and I had read an article in Northern Virginia magazine about this new restaurant in Aldie called The Black Market Virginia. So I made a reservation for brunch using the Resy app. The place was empty and we were told to sit anywhere. I was looking forward to trying either the smoked salmon rosti or brioche french toast based on reviews. Neither was available.
