The place was spacious and can cater to large groups. They have a bar area and indoor seating available. Apparently, they also have an outdoor area, which I didn’t notice when we visited.
The staff were quick and accommodated us immediately, getting us a seat as soon as we entered the restaurant. We went on a weekday night, so that’s probably why it wasn’t too busy.
All the food and drinks we ordered hit the spot, making us feel like we were back in Texas. The food was great, and we will definitely come back again.

I love this place. It’s hard to find good birria tacos in Alexandria, let alone, Richmond Hwy. And Richmond Hwy spans across provinces and cities in Virginia. The people are great. Whenever Im in the mood for birria tacos, I go here!!!

Just had dinner here for the first time, and it was SO good! Very fast service, great food, tasty margaritas, and cold beer! My husband and I are local so surprised we haven't been here yet. This will definitely be our Tex-mex spot moving forward. Can't wait to go back.

The restaurant near my hotel. Tortilla chips were quite good, everything in the main course was the same temperature, which is a sign that it wasn't freshly prepared. The taste was ok (unfortunately I had been to a perfect Mexican restaurant the week before and it was difficult), the service was friendly and the price was ok too.

We had dinner here on Saturday night around 630. I'm in-between not saying anything to selfishly keep this place to ourselves and wondering how this place isn't absolutely packed, knowing it should be. The food was great, we got the chips and queso (not my favorite queso cause I'm a white queso sort of gal but was still very good, I'd guess the chile/Velveeta style which is still a solid 7/10 in my book), the chicken enchiladas (phenomenal), and the beef enchiladas (also fantastic). But the shining star of this place is their service. Everyone was so nice, we had like 4-5 smiling waiters and waitresses stopping by to top off our cups, bring our food, collect our plates, ask if we need anything... it feels like what you want a family owned restaurant that loves feeding people good food to feel like, if that makes sense. We'll be back and will be recommending to our friends, for sure!
Don't let the location deter you. Classic tex-mex with large portions and a great happy hour.

Thank you for having "real tex mex" from a Texan! I cannot find it in the state of VA anywhere...(its not tex mex, idgaf what they call it here) and I almost cried when I had the picadillo beef in my beef enchiladas with queso on top! The salsa has the right amount of lime in it to balance the tomato acid...loved it! Great service and was a happy taqueria setting.
